I don't think lemmy does video yet. Only text and images.

So yeah almost all of the videos you see would be external links.

Depth - 41.

Jerboa's still solid (although it is nearing its limit).

Connect only displays rainbow lines now, oof.

I wish someone replicated how Relay did it. After like 10-20 comments, it made the next comment a top level one when we clicked on 'show more'. This meant that the depth never went below 10-20 for anything and nothing got squished up.

Oi you parent comment lads, keep this train going will ya? It's for science and stuff.

What app?

Try tapping the comment, or tapping and holding onto it. Options should pop up.

If that doesn't work, try swiping left or right.

These are the 2 most common gestures I've seen on most Lemmy apps.

We in pretty deep now.

Probably yeah.

I already raised a UX improvement request with the developer of Connect.

If something similar happens with Jerboa then that can be brought to their notice too.

This is a good experiment.

Fine

Then

Okay

I'll

Yup.

Jerboa's broken now too.

Can't see the 3 dots button anymore in potrait mode.

I'm guessing it's the larger instances that are lagging due to the sudden amount of users that have joined.

Most new users tend to join the bigger ones and that exacerbates the problem.

Edit: This comment took ~8 seconds.

Probably yeah. It'll eventually be an issue.

I just wanted to see if it self adjusted, but nope, it doesn't.

Jerboa still displaying everything properly (for now).

Connect's all squished up.

Let's do moar! For science.

Hopefully the dev notices.

Those are some nice changes!

The previous history being shown after editing a comment was particularly annoying. Glad you fixed that.

Oh and since it seems like you're working on the user experience side of things, I made a post here with some suggestions for you to consider regarding the app!
