Trump adviser hopes Canada fentanyl dispute will be solved by end of March
There is no fentanyl dispute. Just an unfounded accusation from one side. Just like there was no shouting match in the whitehouse, only one sided shouting. Sick of “journalism”

There should be some serious insider trading investigations with these daily u-turns on tariffs. Won’t happen, but it should.

I’m guessing Japan would also want to avoid that.

Apple Expands Age Verification to Singapore & South Korea
Reply in thread
Not really. There is no age requirement for having an apple phone in the UK, and having ios verify my age does not help with identity stealing websites. So Apple aren’t doing this to comply with current law. And at least one government department advised their staff to ignore it.

Sadiq Khan says Labour should pledge to rejoin EU
Reply in thread
Got any evidence for that? The majority of people think brexit was a failure and are in favour of rejoining, and within labour (and libdems and greens) it’s an even bigger majority. Source: yougov

We’re going to need a sanctioned phone just for banking and another one for everything else. Plus maybe a third one to take to demonstrations etc. Just great :(

Which is what these EU laws usually do. This one is up to 6% of world wide revenue. Actually collecting those fines is another story though.

Maybe it’s also the type of people that buy shit off Temu. Strict safety laws don’t protect stupid people from doing stupid things.

Moscow could launch attack on European state on China's orders, ex-NATO advisor says
Reply in thread
I struggle with the logic here. NATO or Europe won’t be involved or distracted if China invades Taiwan. And I doubt Putin is daft enough to start an all out war with Europe. It might be a distraction for the US, but we don’t need the US to wipe the floor with Russia

I've recently turned into a blocker.
I have blocked hundreds of communities to sanitise my ‘all’ feed, and a few foreign language instances. But only a handful of obnoxious users. The users I’m inclined to block often end up banned anyway
