There were a dozen companies that applied for the grant. Musk won by over promising.

Why is installing a different OS/Custom Rom on phones a huge hassle?
The web-based installer for GrapheneOS is very easy to use. The catch is that it only works for Pixel phones (and only those that are still receiving updates).

It's mostly a microwave for crispy foods. I do more re-heating than anything else.

Yea I think Israel knew what would happen when they armed hamas
And it's evident the're not going to stop until they've murdered all the civilians and their "settlers" (war criminals) have populated the region.

Spotify doesn't make profit from music streaming, despite having over 400M monthly active users, because it pays two-thirds of all its revenue to the rights holders.

To be fair- Spotify priced the service that doesn't make enough profit to pay artists adequately.

Yes- I'd recommend Graphene to anyone who can live without Google Pay. I've only been using it for a month but everything has worked without issue and with the added benefit of "storage scopes" and Google Play sand-boxing.

Smartphone Keyboard Information Bonanza: What's available and what's best for your needs
I use Thumb Key. https://github.com/dessalines/thumb-key
It's a privacy-conscious keyboard for your thumbs written by one of the creators of lemmy. It uses a 3x3 grid similar to the old t9. The idea is that you can touch-type much easier with only 9 buttons so you don't need to autocorrect.

Virginia sheriff's office says Tesla was running on Autopilot moments before tractor-trailer crash
Reply in thread
Because Musk overstates what Teslas are capable of. It's why Tesla is being sued by shareholders (Lamontagne v Tesla).
Anecdotally, five years ago, my Uber was driving a Tesla and insisted it was fully autonomous on the highway and he could text without issue.

If you're not grandfathered into a sweet rate on a major mobile carrier you can potentially save a ton of money by going pre-paid. I've been using www.usmobile.com which is $30/mo for 35gb of prioritized verizon or t-mobile data ($25/mo with multiple lines). If you don't use much data you can do $10/mo for 2gb.

Just so you know- to an outsider with no skin in this argument you appear to be the one arguing in bad faith. Good luck with everything!
