Sync for Lemmy is now live for everyone to try
Reply in thread
yeah same here, sticking to jerboa for now. I hope it's not going to be the same for boost for lemmy.
does anyone know if the privacy policy is only for the "free" version of sync? app store says the free version has ads too, I guess you can buy it at some point to get rid of them.

The craziness of women's clothing sizes
Reply in thread
it would be great. my partner works in fashion design and trying to learn more about plus size pattern making. bodies are not uniform and basically each body grows in different directions, so it's very challenging to make clothing patterns that fit everyone since they also need to be scaled differently depending on each person.

What band/artist have you seen live more than once, would gladly go see again, and what keeps you coming back?
Converge. I don't know how but the keep getting better. They have so much groove life, its hard to resist the pit.

I'm a former art director in advertising, and thought I'd share a bit about ads.
Thanks for your post. I remember when i was travelling through Bolivia and noticing after a while that there were basically no ads. That was in 2010, not sure what it's like now.

I just bought some music off of bandcamp
thanks for supporting artists first of all! I do want to bring to your attention that it's a good idea to pay close attention to what bandcamp will do in the next years as it has been bought later sold by epic games and the current owners very quickly dismantled efforts of bandcamp staff to unionize. still, you actually get downloadable music on bandcamp and I hope. you enjoy it and back it up for your future enjoyment. maybe,I wouldn't even mind paying for ads. I mainly don't like being mined for data.
edit: paying for removing ads of course.

yes I expect l2s to catch on in different ways and yes I hope that a lot of places like steam or whatever properly implement at least bitpay or something similar in house.
