I'm curious what game you guys have sunk the most hours into. Mine has to be RuneScape, I don't know the total hours because I've had so many accounts over the years I don't even remember half my passwords, but it's definitely in the thousands of hours now. I've played on/off RS2, OSRS, and RS3 since 2004.

I've also probably sunk anywhere from hundreds to 1000+ hours into Skyrim and Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura, though I don't know the counts there either since neither were through Steam. Embarrassingly enough I've never completed either of those two games - I get sidetracked making so many alt characters.

What about you guys? & What got you hooked on said game?

Thought this community could use some activity so..!

Here's mine: I wish every person I socialised with would know that I sometimes get too overwhelmed and could use someone coming up with an escape plan . When I'm especially anxious I have a hard time leaving places or declining things, so I always wished I could just have someone notice and get me out of there.

You know like when as a kid you don't want to go over a friend's house and you have your parent pretend you're not allowed, to get you out of it.

I ended up finding a friend who knew I needed that little bit of help sometimes and it made social events SO much easier because I knew if I got overwhelmed I could pull them aside and be all HALP. and they'd come up with an excuse for us to dip to save me the embarrassment. But with other friends I always felt awkward about asking them, so never did.

What about you guys? What's something you wish your non-anxious friends would do or know about you?

New to the fediverse and to Lemmy/Piefed, and I'd like some fun and interesting communities to follow, I'm finding plenty naturally as I explore the various servers, but I thought why not ask you guys what some of your favourites are?

So here goes: What are YOUR favourite communities? Can be big or small, active or inactive, and can be about any subject, I just wanna know your personal favourites.

I'd love to see this community get off the ground, so I thought I'd chip in with something simple. A quick check-in post to ask you all how your week is going.

I'll start. I've been taking my new medication (Venlafaxine) for 2 weeks now. I'm going back and forth over whether or not it's helping me, but I've been going on more walks (exposure) and chatting a bit more on Discord (again exposure as I have real bad social anxiety) so I feel like maybe it is? Crossing my fingers.

What about you guys? How's your week going? (and it doesn't matter if you're responding today or a year from now!)

I miss the old internet, before big centralised social media hubs took over, when the small web WAS the web, when forums and blogs were popular, when the internet actually felt social and not just a bunch of algorithms feeding me slop.

So I made it a goal this year to branch out and spend a bit less time on Reddit and Youtube. I’ve created Mastodon, Piefed, and Matrix accounts, and I’m even working on a cheesy little neocities page (though my CSS skills suck).

I’ve only been here for a day or so now but I like it so far. Feels refreshing and I hope places like this become the future of the internet.
