Stripped airsoft sniper rifle sear. Can anyone help?

Reply in thread

Thank you so much! Weirdly enough (and the parts diagram you sent confirms this), my rifle seems to be running some completely different trigger system to the ones I see everywhere on the web, so I think the best choice will really be to just get a replacement trigger box. It'll make any future replacements that much easier too, since it will actually be possible to buy compatible sears. Thank you for the 3D printer idea! I do have a friend who has one, so I'll model and print a new sear to try and see if it's the sear causing all this.

This seems flipped, there's no way a majority of people like ads.

Honestly from some of the interactions I've had with my peers I didn't even think of the meme as strange.

Like one time I saw my roommate running Opera GX of all browsers without any adblockers and I asked him "don't these ads bother you?" and he responded, I shit you not, "no, quite the opposite! they're really helpful!". I didn't say anything because at that moment I was genuinely stunlocked.

aye, i feel ya. losing even a part of your senses is extremely depressing.

lost a part of mine when i blew myself up with a pistol flare by accident back in February. my hearing's never been quite right since, and to top it all off i've still got scars from the incident on my left hand.

i've made a much better recovery than i thought i would, but my right ear still has some slight tinnitus which will likely stay with me til the grave.

i really hope you recover just as well if not more! at least eye damage is infinitely more reversible than ear damage!

Anyone using a Linux Smarphone?

A bit late to the party here, but today I flashed Ubuntu Touch onto a Xiaomi Poco X3, and it's... well, it's rough.

All the base functionality seems to be there, calls should work (not sure because I didn't test them extensively), sms works, location/gps works, nfc is supported, camera is.. passable, battery life is certainly, and noticeably worse but that's a given - when on standby, the battery goes down roughly 8% every 5 hours, so approx. 27% per day on standby.

While I'm really glad to see how much Linux phone development sped up, they are still nowhere near daily driver status - even the phones built with Linux support in mind are not faring well from what I've seen. Even then, I'm keeping this Poco X3 because Android's days seem to be numbered.

What physically feels the worst?

I second that.

Back in May I had a stress overload and for a solid month or so I was CONSTANTLY nauseous (among other things). And it was that type of nausea that didn't make you vomit, it just made you feel that you were about to. Absolutely horrid times.

Yup! Was about to type out a similar reply. To further clarify:

Hymenoptera - order of Insecta - ants, bees, wasps, hornets
Aculeata - infraorder of Hymenoptera - bees, wasps, hornets
Apidae - family of Aculeata - bees (also bumblebees)
Vespidae - family of Aculeata - wasps, hornets Formicidae - family of Hymenoptera - ants

edit20260227: forgot ants belong to aculeata

wear a helmet rule

helmets FTW.

i still remember when i was walking around my countryside in november on some very slippery ice. expectedly, i slipped and fell straight on my head. the only thing that saved me was that i was still in my airsoft uniform from a match earlier that day, and the helmet absorbed the impact.
