[AMA] We're Framasoft, we develop PeerTube, ask us anything!

Thank you for your work.

As far as I understand it one of the big advantages is that every viewer simultaneously provides its download data for others to stream (peering). With this approach server capacity can be reduced but I wonder how well this works (If I even understood it correctly).

With this system could it be possible to host videos on an own server without having to pay huge sever costs?

Also what is a nice website to search through all videos, similar to the front page of YouTube?

Orion

Yes, I used Siril for stacking/ stretching, Starnett++ for star removal (to edit the glimpse of orion nebula a little better), GraXpert for gradient and noise, and BlurXTerminator for deconvolution. Final editing was done in Photoshop.

So heavy editing indeed..

Commission starts first proceedings to specify Apple's interoperability obligations under the Digital Markets Act

Tl;DR The EU makes sure that third party developers gain access to connectivity features to develop devices like smartwatches, headphones or VR headsets that have a deep integration to the OS.

It is crucial that the request process is transparent, timely, and fair so that all developers have an effective and predictable path to interoperability and are enabled to innovate.

Village where my grandma grew up [OC]

I take this as a compliment, as I tried to imitate a miniature model town. The village is photographed with a tele lens from a mountain. Then with very tedious post processing several layers of blur was added to amplify the tilt shift effect.
