As a hearing aid wearer the turned-up-to-eleven sound level combined with unequal balance between voice and music/effects is borderline unbearable.

Max bass, max reverb, max audio compression, plus muttering and whispering by so many actors being recorded at low levels, combine to make cinema visits something to be endured.

Yes! Sorry about that... Although there was a grey/brown/sludge colour that was worse than avocado. Real avocados though were rarer than avocado bathroom suites.

I'm nearing the end of re watching 'Le Bureau des Legendes' on DVD & Blu-ray.

Only series 1 on DVD has English subtitles. Then only series 2 to 5 on Blu-ray have English subtitles.

Brilliant series. Well worth your time.

I've been re watching 'Unforgotten' on DVD, a British crime drama TV series. Beautifully paced, well written, well acted and engrossing even on the third watch.

Yes! Me too... I've watched series 5 but not 6. They manage the transition to a new DCC guv' pretty well. Same production values.

I am, however, waiting for time to erode the perceived value of series 6 on DVD.....
