What do you think: should all government software be open source?
Software funded by public resources should be a benefit available for the public. Is not only transparency and security, it should be owned by the people who paid for it.

developer of game 'Rust' talks about anticheat on linux
Server side anti-cheat should be the focus of every game company with an MMO game in their catalog. Relying on kernel access is madness.

Is there any animal, closely related to humans that a human can breed with?
Not anymore. We assimilated the neanderthals a long time ago.
Other close relative species don't exist anymore.

Do you remember the Fibonacci sequence? You can use it to convert miles to kilometers .
2 mi ~= 3km
5mi ~= 8km
8mi ~= 13km
13mi ~= 21km
And so on.

Cirrus app dev informing the app will stop working on certified android devices in '26/'27

Even apps installed outside the Play Store will need to have a "verified developer", and this change will affect any devices that use Google Play Services, so it will be a problem even to old devices.

Was banning human slavery an authoritarian decision?
I think you are lost in the language. There are no absolute rights, in any legal systems. So any "law" necessarily restricts someone's "rights".
Therefore, you need to think about what "authoritarian decision" means, because if all law restricts someone's rights, all laws are authoritarian by your definition.
Also: terrible example to begin with.

Are there other human traits like light skin which people developed to adapt to the "new" environment they settled in?
Yeah, depending on what you consider "new".
The list is actually very long.

When should we require that firmware be free?
A way to address that is to require that if the company does not provide software updates, it must release the source code and tooling to it's customers under cc-0 license. For games that depends on server-side services to work, that should be provided as well.
But under capitalism, that will be an uphill battle.

What single item improved the quality of your life over you got it? (Buyed it/got as present/made it)
Sunglasses and UV-blocking clothes.
With the first I discovered that I have a high sensitivity to light, now I can see much more during the day.
And the second is very useful, protecting me from sun without the need to worry about sunscreen (except for the face)

What's the best wax-on-wax-off-style advice you've heard that you can attest as being helpful in certain situations?
"Don't be a protagonist in someone else's story" You shouldn't make decisions for someone else, nor prevent the results for their actions. You can help, advice, but should not intervene without permission.
(Except if the someone in question is a kid, then you probably should intervine)

To everyone who hates the concepts of landlords and rent, what counts as being a landlord?
Someone who hords houses.
If you have an beach house that you uses every year, and rents it when it's not using or you have one second house that you got from a deceased family member... If you need to work to maintain this second house...
That's fine. It will not cause a inflation on the house market, it's not just an investment.
In my city (not in US), there are a booming market of very small apartments that rich people buy just to protect their money from inflation. As result, higher prices, less units available for the general public, and the new units that are available are terrible.
