I think perchance dev should duplicte the comments plugin and build that into a forum, using perchance accounts and usernames, and switch perchance from lemmy to that.

recently i managed a new record downvotes on lemmy with a post that involved both ai and meta and portrayed niether of them as terrible. every time it was touched, it went in front of lemmy users for a fresh batch of downvotes. i bet i could have gotten more downvotes if it mentioned trump without saying hes bad. Lemmy is an extremely leftleaning place and maybe thats fine and the type of ppl dev wants anyway. the issue is how lemmy largely hates ai and perchance is on a path to more, and not less ai.

I know my post was not the first involving ai to get pushback from the larger lemmy. it happens often. an extreme one was: I recall someone made an account to post supportively of perchance ai image, and on their first post an anti ai lemmy user with no connection to perchance, that i know ive banned elsewhere, responded aggressively at them.

So Perchance gets unapologetically more ai. Shouldnt Perchance discussion, to comfortably talk about its feaures, not be in an ai hate zone? all the parts are basically built already. user accounts, usernames, avatars, comments... especially if vionet is gone, maybe dev should make a real hub with perchance discussion there instead of lemmy? if it were me, i would detour into that after stabilizing the ai plugins and before anything else. idk if community members that code have enough access to perchance user account data to code it. maybe? but it would also be terrible for a community member to do the effort and perchance not implement it. so to me it seems like a solo mission for perchance

looked alot today and theres a clear winner. meta.ai is free, has no daily usage cap, no "credits", and turns perchance pics into high quality vids better than grok. am i missing anything as free as perchance able to handle any number of images per day?

i made nonpeople as long as i could. making ppl again, im finding hideous monsters are often created, and even the best ppl are almost always too ugly to keep.

i know from when i removed my negative before, it resulted in uglies like this. so im sure its negatives being down. is there anyway to artifically force negatives to work?

i see no one really picked them up and it hurt looking at the generators page and seeing it endlessly try to load events. so i just started up the next one. I think what I will do then, is not try and have someone else take over, but dedicate a page of my own site to streamlining the process and maintaining at least the ai image one. That way it won't be an ordeal for me, won't be complicated, and won't dissuade others from trying events either. Sounds like the thing to do.

So there is an event up and someone on the other post mentioned there should be more events. I agree, though I only really generate images occasionally, so consider me a noob with everything else. So you'll have to tell me what we want. I know vionet ran some AICharacterCreation events and i thought those were cool. Generator jams also were a thing, tho few participated, tho that was also before ai code assist. Other options?

Tell me what we should have and I will run one and simultaneously add it as an event type my site can make future of in a streamlined, nonlaborintensive way. upon no feedback im thinking a character jam starting probably next week.

just joking. thought i'd join in the ai img mob riots since it looked fun. really i admire @perchance's dedication to progress and willingness to try moving forward instead of being frozen into stagnation by the screams of users.

i really am basically afk at this point, constantly in a state of either too busy, or too exhausted. but was generating some vertical pics today and noticed an unusual thing maybe yall might want to decipher.

thats what my gen gens up normally in her classic 'word soup' promptstyle.

so i tried removing the Aesthetic 11 which i have both before and after all prompts. i had heard about it via some 'bonkers insane but probably actually too genius' person (like minori) posted that it was like a hidden ghost in teh machine. either that or it was a normal person but lead thru a rabbithole of bonkers insane craziness to the point that couldn't tell whether it was real or what it really was. either way, i jumped on it and put it in BP as some secret juice. Now with img update totally changing large swaths of img gen, i tried removing it.

Not as expected. Look at those worse hands and feet after removing it. i have more pics that magically arent uploading, but interesting eh? maybe its starting the prompt with the word aesthetic. maybe its the full aesthetic 11 crazy magician stuff. either way, youd especially see if these other imgs would upload that all the imgs without it have noticeably worse hands, feet, and sketchier fail lines.

i have neither time for my gen or the forum now. may much later, especially when i need to gen more images on a later phase and more casually letting phone touch internet. but not now and near future. i think someone should pick up and keep doing community image challenges for the benefit of the community. and idk how often i will check msgs, but if you run them and ownership of casualperchance community helps, msg me and u can have it.

prompt looked normal and not exceptionally long and nothing nsfw. I dont yet see any pattern causing it and i didnt save the prompts or try to remake with same seed. i will on the next one. im addicted to generating beautiful mlp ponies, so ill be at it for the next 700 hours and Im sure Ill gen another unless u solve and fix it first.

also because the image and topic involves ai, i predict 4 downvotes from the wider lemmy ecosystem. 2 or 3 seems more reasonable, but im feeling 4.

banned word "muse" but the "motionmuse" ads still come thru. this is the person who i've banned 20+ times but they just change their ip. Dear Perchance, can you please add an additional list to comment plugin for VeryBannedWords which prevents a comment if it contains the word at all? I think this makes tons of sense since it's silly banning a word like 'Chupacabra' and people can just type 'Chupacabraa' and it gets around it.

After running it for months, i have these opinions:

• The amount and frequency of people asking for prompting tips of both forums combined is really not forumbreaking. It's like 1 or 2 a week. That was the initial reason Casual Perchance was made, because people could not talk about prompts here, but IMO 1 or 2 posts per week involving prompts is not forumbreaking. So I think that rule should again be looked at and this time removed.

• Because most other things have more visibility here, there is otherwise no real reason to post on or browse Casual Perchance EXCEPT community events.

• the monthly image challenge is doing great and people are having fun with it as you can see if you go to it thru this link or thru the hub or generators page.

• running the monthly image challenge on the main perchance forum is no where near clogging it with spam as it is one post per month. even when ai text is finetuned and we are running an ai text challenge alongside it, that's still minimal as far as clogging the forum with posts.

So, imo, the 'no prompt info' rule should be repealed here. You should give me mod here so I can continue running events here. Community Events should be run on this forum. And Casual Perchance disbanded.

Maybe related to what Glass was talking about, but i find it mentionable that, before this month, i had maybe 5 people chatbanned total from all months conbined; mostly for saying horrific or predatory things.

Today I just banned 3 more, which seem like bots which were advertising an identical message ad for pollo ai; on top of total about 20 bans this month of what seems like 'advertisement bots' for pollo ai and some "uncensored ai video" ai.

This is a problem i have not had to deal with before that seems to have just started this month.

I have https://lemmy.world/c/casual_perchance which was made so perchance.org users could chat about ai prompting since it wasnt allowed in the main perchance community. It eventually turned in to the place to host community events of perchance. As it's mostly ai related and not catchy memes, often passerby browsing /all downvote things, which causes most of the users, many of which dont use lemmy except to post in events or about perchance, to feel unneeded negativity. I read a recent post which encouraged me to ban the passerby downvoters to deal with it, but i recently read Admins can also make a community not show up in /all. Can you please do that to my community? thank you!
