I would certainly hope so as that is No Man’s Sky entire gameplay loop

Terraria Dev: After 12 years the game still sells like hot cakes. There is so much demand it makes it hard to move on
Terraria is such an enjoyable game. When it’s modded though? That’s like a whole new world

FlyingSquid posted this bit of the transcript:
Holy fuck...
In a post about a "prominent American Jewish politician," court documents said Goltz commented, "I want to throw that Jew in an oven so badly, I can taste it."
...
In response to posts about another Maricopa County official, Goltz suggested targeting the official's children. Another user said kids were "off limits." Goltz's account replied that nothing was off limits and said the other user did not "have the stomach to do whatever it takes to get our country back."
Throw away the fucking key.

Datto's Video on taking a break
The only FOMO aspect I hate is missing out on armor as I quite enjoy fashion. It use to be shaders but I’ve come to learn it’s not worth playing things like Trials, Crucible, or IB if I am not enjoying the game, so the “fear” of missing shaders has passed me by thankfully.
Genuine question though. What do you want him to say about FOMO? He’s offering solutions for a situation that doesn’t currently have one.
Is that really a good enough solution to deflect criticism from Bungie?
Maybe this is just me but I don’t think Datto is deflecting criticism for Bungie in this video. As it stands right now, there are no measures in place to view any previous seasonal cutscenes or anything other than the random channels who re-upload stuff. He isn’t defending it. He’s just stating the situation, and here’s what you can do if you’re concerned about missing something.

I honestly like plenty of them!
I haven’t played DS2 in forever so I can’t recall if this was DLC but I loved Mirror Knight. Not super difficult and the added mechanic of people being summoned in to fight against you was a cool touch

Since you’ve played it, I do have a couple of questions.
1). I haven’t played really any JRPGs before so is this game friendly to newcomers or not really? It looks really beautiful and that caught my eye when I first saw it
2). Do I need to play the previous one to understand what’s going on?

I feel like with how Bungie changed up Lake, I would say it isn’t the fastest anymore. Inverted Spire is pretty fast so maybe that one?

Xbox Series X/S players feel forgotten by Rockstar after Red Dead Redemption 60fps PS5 port
Anything Rockstar and Sony related I’d assume would be shitty for Xbox people. The bonuses that PlayStation players could get for GTA Online was ridiculous, so this is nothing new unfortunately.

I have over 50k shards that I will never use so it’ll be sad to see the high number go away but other than that, I couldn’t imagine a soul being bothered by the legendary shard change. It’s honestly a great thing to help simplify parts of the games economy for new and returning players

Spec Ops: The Line doesn't need a remaster
There is a fondness in my heart for Spec Ops: The Line, and there always will be. The twists and turns of the story and the many details it sprinkles in throughout your playthrough is great.

I think it depends. I have too many hours in the game so I feel confident in saying that it is worthwhile. However, I believe there are a lot of factors to consider. Below are my thoughts, apologies as I typed a lot. If you also want me to elaborate more on certain issues/facets of the game, just let me know (:
1). The game is expensive. Knowing which expansions to get without any sort of help will likely be a headache. To remedy that, you’ll want to look for the Destiny 2: Legacy Collection. It gives you the major expansions of Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen. The order I have them listed is the canonical order in which they occurred in game. We’re in the expansion of Lightfall (this comes after The Witch Queen). I would suggest avoiding it until you’ve played the previous expansions.
2). The game heavily relies on veterans to teach New Lights. The new player experience has gotten better but it’s still far from good. A lot of info will be like mush to you without some sort of guide. Armor stats, ability cooldowns, build crafting, general gameplay.
3). Another person in this thread mentioned the process of “sunsetting”. This was a former action done by Bungie that has since been done away with. You won’t be affected by this in the same way veteran players were, however, the overarching story will be lost on you without looking at videos unfortunately. Bungie is working on ways to give newer/returning players more context that they’re currently missing. My Name is Byf or Myelin Games can give you the story run down plus extra lore.

This Week in Destiny - 8/24/23
I am honestly very happy they’re doing the flashback stuff. I missed out on Undying, Dawn, and Worthy’s ornaments even though I bought the seasons and have kicked myself for it ever since as I love Destiny fashion. I do hope it isn’t for silver but I’m happy regardless that they’re doing this

Monster Hunter Rise has now sold over 13 million units, with Sunbreak achieving more than 6 million units worldwide too!
I tried to get into World but I just wasn’t good at it. My buddy ended up telling me about how Rise was a bit more casual and I took the plunge and I enjoyed my time with it. I got to MR8 (no clue if that’s good or not) but the grind to get parts became too annoying for me personally

I think it’s worth it personally. The first game was a B list horror schlocky experience. The second embraces the stupid side of the first game and makes it better imo.

Payday 3 closed beta announced for Xbox and Steam
I signed up for it almost immediately after I saw the pop up. My only real hope is that since this game won’t be on the Diesel Engine anymore that consoles will actually be updated consistently.
There is nothing worse than watching a game that you enjoy be permanently left behind due to the limitations of something completely out of your control
