Decided to make this community for the game I love to help see it grow here. I currently intend for this community to encompass all things Destiny, including Destiny 1 and 2, but we'll see how things go and adjust from there.

A few rules are located within the sidebar, as well as some community resources, creators, and other Lemmy communities.

Until an automated solution is found, weekly and daily reset information can be found here at D2 Checklist, also linked in the sidebar, unless myself or other members create reset posts, TWID posts, etc. Go share this community around and try to help grow it!

Not surprising at all when you plan to stop supporting one of the two live games you’re making.

After several rounds of mass layoffs I hope Bungie leadership never gets work again.

Saw this coming when Bungie announced Marathon right after Lightfall all but killed Destiny 2. It was clear at that moment they were sick of working on Destiny and all the talent had moved to Marathon.

This is just kind of insulting after they repeatedly tried to reassure players that D2 was continuing and that new content was coming only to put everything in Marathon and realize they were sick of Destiny.

By all accounts Marathon is a good game, but I don't see it carrying Bungie while they make something new. It's player counts aren't that high and Sony just had to write off a monetary loss on purchasing Bungie.

Think it would be a good idea to keep this community active enough, not sure how difficult that would be to implement though.

Man anyone else just super tired of locked loadouts? Every.single.activity...

Looks cool but IDK if it's enough to bring me back to D2.

Pros:

• I dig the look of the syndicates. Vex wearing clothes is funny.
• The Star Wars stuff is less overwhelming than I thought it would be.
• Customizable lightsabers
• They put Helldivers in Destiny
• Back to Mars

Cons:

• It's more Destiny with slightly different activities and set dressing.
