UPS delivers 12,000 job cuts to white-collar management months after historic deal for unionized drivers—yet another sign the pendulum is swinging toward blue-collar workers
Hooray for people losing their jobs? Celebrating something like this is missing the point.

Fellow Arkansan here. I love to get in on that Arkansas gossip.

Arguing for rights of an individual running for president (as it is not defined at all to my knowledge) is an interesting strategy and does seem like something worth defining. By that I mean for it to be defined that if you're running for president, you have no additional rights. Get out of here. You're just another citizen. Quit making the "i'm special" legal challenge. Get bent.

RFK Jr.: Media hitting me harder than Trump
The mistake the media is making is covering RFK Jr. at all. Would have figured they’d learned their lesson with Trump. The media is as much to blame as any other entity for the US’s lurch to the right because they waste their time covering it.

Tech workers react to UPS drivers landing a $170,000 a year package with a mixture of anger and admiration
Complaining about this is dumb. Someone else’s gain isn’t your loss. Everyone outside the top tier earners should be paid more. Period. I’m happy a union had the national stage representing UPS workers and showed why unions are important.

People who back into parking spots: Why?
A long vehicle (truck, SUV, some crossovers) is MUCH easier to park with precision by backing up in my opinion.

Supreme Court blocks $6 billion opioid settlement that would have given the Sackler family immunity | CNN Politics
The fact that Purdue is saying “this is the best plan and everyone says so” tells me all I need to know. I just hope that when the case is heard, the outcome will better AND the Sack-of-shit-ler family is held accountable. You can’t claim ignorance on the opioid epidemic and run a business the way they did to directly profit from it.

Max Verstappen wins the 2023 Italian Grand Prix
It’s easy to say it’s “boring” watching Max/Red Bull win all these races, but the racing happening behind him is genuinely interesting and we are literally witnessing history. This may never be done again in our lifetimes, and the season isn’t done yet. I’m not a huge fan of any one particular team as I have only watched paid attention for five years and watched intently for two, so it doesn’t bother me much, but I do absolutely respect the thorough domination we are getting to see.
