It really is the worst image format
Why are we sending someone to "Extra Hell" for making an improved image format that has better compression and is an overall improvement over all 3 of the existing formats it replaces (jpeg, png, gif)?
Shouldn't this apply to everyone the companies who refused to adopt it, thus breaking every normal image workflow? (Same thing can be said about JXL)
Edit: fix vague wording

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like since 2020 reddit has been going downhill
Calling reddit the last bastion of internet quality is a crazy take no matter what time period you're talking about

What comes to mind?
Audacity was the first one I thought of.
Or MultiMC, PolyMC, the Sodium mod, or the original Minecraft Forge.
(Minecraft community devs need to stop having drama lmao)

On the Internet, what is a dead giveaway that someone is actually a kid?

Hate to break it to you but people born in 2006 are turning 18 this year (and are technically considered "adults").

new wolf
Ok but like let's be real who actually fights with their wolves instead of just leaving them sitting in their base somewhere. Can the armor be dyed? That might help a bit

AMD will finally add HDMI 2.1 support to Linux
Reply in thread
Not that I want to defend AMD but the reason they haven't been able to is because HDMI is a private spec and the HDMI forum specifically forbade them from releasing the driver they tried to publish a few years ago (even though the firmware with the actual implementation is in the GPU itself and still proprietary). That's why 2.1 works on windows and not Linux with the past 2 gens of AMD GPUs.

Reminder: Most devs actually care about the things they make. This is a management/timeline problem, not a developer one.

ELI5 for people who don't know what project sundial is because I didn't know about it until I saw that video:
In the 1950's the guy who invented the Hydrogen nuclear bomb made a theoretical design for a bomb that would send the entire planet into a nuclear winter. The bomb would be detonated in somewhere in the US because it was so powerful that both the US and whoever on the globe they were trying to hit would get destroyed either way.
Here is the video the meme is referencing: https://youtu.be/E55uSCO5D2w
