Climate change may also negatively impact male fertility, with several animal studies suggesting that sperm are especially vulnerable to the effects of increasing temperatures. Heatwaves have been shown to damage sperm in insects, and a similar impact has been observed in humans. A 2022 study found that high ambient temperature – due to global warming, or working in a hot environment – negatively affects sperm quality.

PJ Harvey - Voyager (2026)

Oh, it is a reference to the probe…

long years, far place
dark nights, dark days
frozen, silent
bearing Earth-songs

force fields, high winds
cold moons, bright rings
hear my signal will you follow?

look back at us
as a speck of dust
darkness our home
bear it through love

last note, last sign
Neptune, Triton
fading signal
choose light… choose love

Voyager, look back
at a pale-blue dot
all we don't know
a flake of snow

dust in a sunbeam, blue dot
so far, so cold

kindness, care for…
our shelter… tender

it’s all about little battles for me

choosing FOSS software and open services

voicing my opposition to the greedy

exercising earnest support for every person I encounter (since as far as I know, I only encounter working class people)

repairing instead of trashing

volunteering to help the most vulnerable in my community

cooking meals instead of eating out

choosing free-range when selecting eggs, etc.

growing a few veggies each year

and many more

this enhances my local experiences and maximizes my power to affect the world
