Hello Lemmy, so I've been using Playstation basically all my life but this last years I've using more Steam than Playstation, so I stopped using my Playstation account.

In December from the last year, I received a strange email from Playstation telling me that I changed my account's password, I really didn't care expecting to be phishing (specially due to the emails use for Sony for this kind of emails), but one day I logged into my console and for my surprise I got a lot of recent hours in some games that I never played before, and no, I don't share this account with anybody nor my console.

So I changed my password, my email, and reset my 2FA, kicked all the connected devices and I expected that that's it, but no, one day after that I check my profile and again, I got recent hours in games that I have never even played, so I repeated this but this time I contacted Playstation, and in the first instance you need to talk with an AI until the AI decide your case need to escalate to an human, and after that the human just repeat the same over and over again, they basically tell you: "Oh man, that's too bad. All I can do for you is change your email and send you a link on how to improve your digital security" and instantly disconnect the chat, having you to wait for over 40 minutes to just send you a link and then cutting off the chat.

I've playing this cat and mouse game with this intruder and with Playstation support and nothing seem to change, no matter what I change they always access my account, and Playstation doesn't seem to care at all.

I really don't care much about that account since I'm now an PC player, but man, having somebody accessing your account to play their games feels like somebody entering your home just to use the bathroom without flushing, and Sony being the landlord who lends them the key.

So I'm here just asking if somebody know some email to contact Sony or somebody with more authority than the useless chat support agent.

Edit: I wanted to add, that all of this is really odd. Why if they can basically bypass all the security of my account they haven't changed the email account to theirs? Why Playstation never notify me if they logged into my account, but it does when I do? Why use my account to play shitty F2P games instead of creating their own account? And why if Playstation security is so easily to bypass to the point of gaining full access to an account with 2FA they just keep abusing my account instead of others? I mean, I haven't read of anybody else going through this.

In my work there are 3 guys who use your typical doom-scrolling apps, and they are basically what their feed show them. One of them is a fan of X thing, and their feed is constantly showing them how good is X thing and how bad is Y and Z, the algorithm would NEVER show them the contrary because they'll stop using the app, so they keep being fed with the same thoughts although they might be wrong, they might know that they are wrong but there's enough "evidence" (an infinite amount of short videos telling them what they wanna hear), and is exactly the same with each one of them, The most curious thing is, although as human beings we have our own personality, each one of them tends to "adapt" their personality to mimic what the stereotypical Tiktok guy says.

In my country recently were the presidential elections, and I found it specially funny because people who never in their lives talk about politics, now wear a shirt of their favorite political party, but is specially funny when they can't argue for themselves why they choose to prefer that political party, instead they show you an image from Tiktok where say that X o Y political party is bad because of W or Z.

I was looking the loading screen after the Rearmament update and now one of the locations that the game points is Costa Rica, would this mean that they will release a map there?

I'm a recurrent monosodium glutamate (I got to use this name since this is not an +18 community) user, and each time I check the "Hot" or "Popular" pages there are like 10 new artists that I never heard about that draw awesome, so what I usually do is that I download the image and in case I didn't remember the artists name I use fuzzy search to search the image. I have tried using the remonosodium glutamate script, but its subscription function is local (obviously, is a script, it doesn't depend on monosodium glutamate servers) but I use more than 1 device so this is not the optimal.

The best thing would be that monosodium glutamate had some kind of suscription function built-in, so it doesn't depend on the script, so for this I tried FurAffinity but not all the artist that are on monosodium glutamate are there.

Finally, I tried creating an Excel with artists name, but I want to see a image to remember the artists style, and at least OnlyOffice Excel doesn't support this.

My bad if this isn't the correct place to post this, but I couldn't t find another community, and I didn't find any rule in this community that says that text-only posts are not allowed.

I currently have two monitors with the same specs, but I usually use the one on the left for playing and the one on the right for checking guides. I don't always use the right-hand monitor; sometimes it just sits there switched on, but I don't use it.

Is there a way to lock or dim my secondary screen when it's not in use, so that I don't have to turn it off manually? Ideally, if my cursor is focused on the left monitor and the right monitor hasn't received any input for a while, it would turn off or display an image.

I installed Manjaro Sway a few days ago, but I'm already facing some problems that I don't know how to fix, I tried googling them but no luck.

The first problem is present since the moment I installed the system, which is the audio from my speakers not always work and is basically just random when they decide when to work. If when they don't work I connect some Bluetooth speakers they work, but the wired ones don't. And yes, I tried changing my kernel version and the problem still persisting.

And the second problem is that I got two monitors connected to my PC but Manjaro for some reason is detecting my right monitor as my "main (1)" monitor which is a bit uncomfortable. I already edited my sway dot file but couldn't find a proper way to fix this problem.

I have an 180Hz monitor, and in my Hyprland config file, I have the monitor set to "auto," which works as expected. The problem is that "auto" mode doesn't seem to be as automatic as I hoped. What I want is for my monitor to run at 60Hz while I'm on the desktop, but for it to automatically switch to a higher refresh rate when playing games at more than 60FPS.

However, this doesn’t seem to happen. If my monitor is set to "auto" and a game runs at more than 60FPS, the monitor stays at 60Hz. For example, if the game is running at 180FPS, I want the monitor to match that refresh rate. The only solution I’ve found so far is to manually change my Hyprland configuration files to set my monitor to 180Hz. However, I don’t want to have to make these manual changes every time I want to play a game. Is there a way to make this process automatic? And yes, I can set my monitor to run globally at 180Hz in my Hyprland config files, but that feels a bit unnecessary.

While playing and someone is using their microphone to talk, my own headphones quality drops at the point that my game sounds like someone is talking through a tunnel, and I didn't even using my own mic, I'm just listening to their mic through some game channel or platform.

Another example is while I'm on some Teams meeting, my overall audio goes to shit even if I'm just listening...

I have read some older posts on Reddit that says that this happens because Bluetooth headphones with included mic cannot handle well both communications and they have to lower all the audio in order to keep the stability, but there's really no another way to fix this other than buying wired headphones or using an external mic? It sounds dumb to me, I just don't want to use my mic, why in the first place is my own PC/Headphone deciding when lower quality just because someone else is chatting through their mic?

Basically what title says, I have a 7800XT and an 7950X3D and in games like Borderlands 2 can I barely overcome the 60FPS (with max settings and 1440p), I have tried gamescope and gamemode but to be honest something doesn't feels right, I have the feeling that Hyprland (Or the OS) is not taking full adventage of my GPU and CPU, since I been watching gameplays of the games I play using my same setup and they have better framerates than me. And something interesting is that even if my FPS are locked to 30, I have constant stutters and my GPU is between 80% and 100% even in the lobby, and this happen specifically in Hyprland, and another interesting thing is that my CPU is always between 85 C and 90 C, when its at just 40% of usage, and this again is specific of Hyprland.

Any idea? I have already experienced something like this when I used Nvidia + Wayland in the past, but I'm now in AMD + Wayland.

I am currently on ArcoLinux with the latest zen kernel, but I have used the same setup on distros like Garuda with i3 and indeed I have better performance, but I know is not that simple.

I have two monitors with different resolutions and aspect ratios, my main monitor is on the left and it's a 2560x1440 (27") monitor and the other one is on the right and it's a 1920x1080 (24") monitor.

The problem I'm facing is that when I move my cursor between the displays it makes a kind of 'jump' between them, for example if I move my cursor between my left monitor to my right monitor, once it enters the second monitor its position is not the same as the position from my main monitor, and I understand that this is something that makes sense since they have different aspect ratios and resolutions, but I don't want this behavior.

I have already played with my hyprland.conf but still don't understand how this works, at the moment of writing this I have just commented everything monitor related so hyprland just does it by itself but is not the best.

I don't need anyone to tell me that Facebook sucks because I already know that, and I would never use it unless in my country, for reasons unknown to me, public and private institutions use Facebook as a primary method of sharing news, such as schedules or promotions.

I don't have the slightest intention of creating a Facebook account, but as I said, I need to see posts from certain Facebook accounts and every time I go to a Facebook page and scroll for 2 seconds I get a pop-up forcing me to create an account. And as far as I know, there is no sort of Piped front-end for Facebook, I would appreciate any help.

I recently migrated from Sway to Hyprland, and I can simply say that Hyprland is a marvel and is incredibly faster than Sway in my opinion.

The only problem I'm having right now is that in Borderlands 2 (Proton) when I put the mouse over any option in the game, it takes about 2 seconds to react in the game, for example, if I put the mouse over the “Settings” option the reaction of the game is not immediate, but it takes a moment, and the funny thing is that in the game as such I do not have that problem, only in the inventories and menus, I can play? Yes, but it is uncomfortable

I already tried changing the version of Proton, forcing the game to run through x11 using SDL_VIDEODRIVER=x11 %command%, putting the game in full screen mode or minimized, in no case fixes the problem, and is specific to Borderlands 2, I've played different games and this has not happened to me and did not happen inside Sway.

Another curious thing to mention is that Borderlands 2 as such does not recognize the resolution of my monitor, but only appears “unidentified” among the Borderlands options, although it is in 1080p.

When I use my GPS app or I want to use my Bluetooth headphones I need to turn on those services, but only in those scenarios, once I'm done using them I don't want them to be always on, is there a way to automatically turn them off is they are not being used?

I tried Tasker but the "Turn off Bluetooth if not being used" profile wasn't working at all.

So I got a 180hz monitor and installed Sway (Garuda Linux) in my new machine, the only problem I have is that I can unlock my FPS for the PC as a whole using the display software that comes with Garuda, but not specifically for games or full screen programs. I don't want to use Firefox at 180hz, I just want my games to run at the maximum refresh rate my monitor can handle.

I used them when they were released a while ago for the nightly version of Firefox, and actually in the stable channel we are in Firefox 130 and still no vertical tabs, does anyone know an aproximate version when they will be available for the stable channel?

I have already Googled about this but didn't find a solution, maybe someone else here has experienced this too? And to add some more details, I use ArcoLinux and I had already toggle 'Close button should minimize Spotify Window'.

I have been investigating if there is a community dedicated to Photon (a great Lemmy front-end) that doesn't seem to have an exclusive option to search for communities, does anyone know if there is an exclusive community for Photon (or Lemmy front-ends in general)?

So I really want GrapheneOS but I also want to have my phone rooted to have some features (like Aurora/Droid-ify background updates) but I don't know if this is incompatible and searching it on Google showed some old posts and forum discussions.

I know and I understand that rooting my phone basically breaks the logic of using GrapheneOS, but I still want to do it, is it possible?

I mean "possible" because from what I understand, when you flash a custom rom you need to format your whole phone, but the same process when rooting your phone, so it's possible?
