Websites telling me what I can do with my own browser so they can have their pointless cookies
I mean, of all sites, polls make the most sense to require cookies to avoid duplicate votes.

How important is port forwarding, actually?
I'm more concerned with the fact that they're removing features without reducing price or making up for it elsewhere. I have no desire to support that business when there are perfectly fine alternatives.

Are cold showers actually better for you than hot showers?
Yes. Cold showers are linked to higher white blood cell count, decrease in sick days, decrease depression, better sleep, among others.
At the very least they're more environmentally friendly and time-saving than regular showers. In my personal experience, I am much less sensitive to short-term temperature changes than others.

George of the Jungle (43%) is still just as fun as it was when I was a kid.

I made the mistake of checking Reddit (using my last few days of Apollo) and came across a complaint about Lemmy that flabbergasted me
This is an actual use case for 'the customer is always right'. No matter how much you prefer the layout, there will be others that prefer something else. And if we want to attract more users, that's something that we'll need to consider.
By far the most off-putting thing about lemmy is how people think themselves too good to consider the preferences and experiences of the average user coming from reddit.

That's just not true, a modern home can be at 70f or below when its 110f outside. Air comes out at 50-55 even at those outside temps.

What do you propose? Lemmy is significanly more difficult to understand, sign up for, and use, with far less content than Reddit. And the majority opinion seems to be 'fuck those kids that don't understand how to use lemmy, we don't need them'.

The first is infinitely re-watchable even with the terrible CGI, but the second one is unwatchable.
