What do people think about advertising like this on lemmy? Should it be allowed? Could it be stopped?

We fully agree, and in support of your community, we pledge to never advertise in this space.

It's easy enough for food that has bar codes, but I cook most of my meals and it's still a pain to try to input all the correct recipe ingredients, quantities, portion sizes, etc., to get accurate calorie/macro counts. I usually use it for a week or two before giving up, it's just too much extra time (or maybe I'm unconsciously sabotaging myself).

WGA strike: Studios and producers to drag on until until union members start losing apartments, houses

Good idea. Maybe the writers could also take a stab at forming their own studio? And in the meantime, I guess they could get day jobs. The studios are going to be losing plenty of money here too, this strategy could easily backfire for them.

The Wagner Mutiny Hit Russia's Air Force Hard. Really Hard.
Interesting that the Russian air force's relatively heavy losses here, as compared with in Ukraine, are reportedly because they attempted to minimize civilian casualties. No such scruples across the border.

Humans pump so much groundwater that Earth’s axis has shifted, study finds

Haven't humans been extracting groundwater (i.e. drilling wells for drinking water & irrigation) since prehistoric times? No doubt our usage has grown in recent decades. Our use of nearly all resources has become much more intensive over time. But it's not easy to see how civilization might exist away from immediately riparian areas without using groundwater.

I do all that, but it takes time that I don't always have available.

Have you done anything recently that you're proud of?
My wife and I have always loved traveling. We also wanted kids, but we didn't want that to limit our ability to see the world. So we promised each other we would travel with our kids. Currently on week 4 of a big multinational trip with our little ones, having a great time.
