Sounds silly, but I'm guessing they don't want the dip in usage on some reports they have to show to stakeholders, and can instead write it off as server issues.

This so much. And if you're thinking of starting a new hobby, there is a sub for it to help you get started. Not only do you have a group of veterans to ask your newb questions to, but lots of them have curated FAQs and starter guides to get you rolling. Reddit honestly improved my life in many ways for this reason.

I meant the comment I replied to sounded silly, I was more explaining why it wasn't silly after all.

The various subs that can help you get your life in order, in the way you chose. personalfinance and/or financialindependence, whatever diet sub to help you learn how to eat better and get recipes that fit the diet, exercise subs like weightlifting or some others. You've gone this whole time without a bookmark??

Anyone have any idea how well the game works on a Steam Deck? Would love to play it docked to my TV but I've heard EA's launcher causes some problems on the SD.

I'm right there with you on min-maxing. If they built the game in a way that I have to research a certain way to play to have a good time, then the developers don't know a damn thing about balance and difficulty design.

Yeah I figured that would be fine, just worried about the EA stuff.

As they say, you can wish in one hand and shit in the other, and see which one fills up first.

Not that I agree with what they're doing, but I'm sure the idea is that they'll shit somewhere else.

If that's the problem, the better solution is to provide a public bathroom outside the library. But that costs money, so of course it won't happen.

If you want to stop the homeless problem, access to the internet is definitely a step in the right direction as it provides them access to resources on how to lift themselves out of it. It stands to reason then that turning the wi-fi off is contributing to the problem, not helping it.
