Would you say that rather than jealousy, you feel sympathetic joy? Because as defined by Cambridge dictionary, jealous is "an adjective used to describe someone who is feeling or showing an unhappy, resentful, or bitter emotion".

I feel that people don't seem to think jealousy is a negative emotion even though that's what it's defined as.

I think the term is hedonic adaptation or treadmill. Some people don't feel satisfied with being content so they constantly seek more. Like a crack addict.

Still seems like a hassle to have to pull that out. They should design something that's more outwardly noticeable like a piece of clothing or maybe just a simple armband they can wear over their clothes that signifies they're jewis-I mean legal or whatever.
