GTA 6 Price Finally Confirmed, Features a 'Single-Player Experience' at Launch

used to make good games…

The last two new games they made were, if I am correct, GTAV and RDR2. The two games I mentioned as having loved. What “used to”?

stop defending these companies who have already proven to not give two fucks about you

Where was I defending anyone? I said I expect the game will be good because the last two they made I loved.

and want to extort more and more from you.

They haven’t gotten a dime from me for anything except game releases, so if you’re trying to complain about GTA Online or Red Dead Online…that ain’t me. As far as I’m concerned, they made products I liked that I paid for. And my guess is the next one will also be something I like.

grow a pair of balls FFS… actually stand up for what’s right

I don’t think falling in line and following your feelings on this topic would be me growing a pair of balls…

and stop caving to your simple mind of, oh but it’s kinda fun

RDR2 was art. That game made me cry. It told a beautiful, tragic story any told it incredibly well. “It’s kinda fun” is hilariously reductive.

But even if it were only kinda fun, it’s a video game. That’s the whole point, right? It’s supposed to be entertaining. It being a piece of art is just the cherry on top.

Are you gonna be buying a Steam machine?

I’ve got a powered USB extension cable running to my basement so I can have my Steam Controller plugged in down there, and use my Xbox with Moonlight to stream my PC over Ethernet to the TV. No need.

I had considered it, but there’s no way at that price point. Also, like I said, no need.

Honestly it still bothers me. We are told that generalizations and stereotypes are bad, but when they’re directed and white people or men, they’re okay.

Listen, I’m not a #NotAllMen type or anything, but it is a frustrating double standard for those of us who’ve grown up knowing not to stereotype or generalize to then get stereotyped and generalized and be told we can’t complain about it.

I’m not sure why you keep talking about the comic. I wasn’t responding to the comic. I was responding to someone talking more broadly about generalization of men. The “honestly it bothers me” didn’t refer to the comic.

I’m aware. Like I said, I’m not a #NotAllMen type. I’m not offended by this comic in the slightest. I laughed at it.

I mean that generally, the double standard can be frustrating. It’s generally okay on the Internet to shit on men and then say, “yeah but I don’t mean you, you’re one of the good ones.” But I’ve learned my whole life that that’s a shitty thing to do.

I’m not offended, I’m not upset.

Did you know GIMP could do that instead?

Nothing wrong with MSG. It’s the building block of the savory taste the same way sodium chloride is the building block of the salty taste.

The whole thing about MSG sensitivity and it being bad for you was largely xenophobic in origin, and a fascinating example of the nocebo effect.

In college I remember hearing about a study where they gave people who claimed to have MSG sensitivity a Chinese meal and an Italian meal. They claimed to have symptoms after the Chinese meal. But that particular Chinese meal had no MSG in it. Meanwhile, people didn’t report symptoms from the Italian meal, which was chock-full of MSG.

Do yourself a favor: get a shaker of MSG from your local grocery store and put that shit on eggs (along with salt). It’s amazing what a pinch of “the flavor enhancer” does.

Edit: also nothing wrong with fluoride in the water at the doses we get it. It’s good for developing stronger teeth.

Games indrulestry

No one said that in 2007.

Halo 3, Assassin’s Creed, The Orange Box (Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2 Episode 2, Portal), Mass Effect, CoD4:MW, Uncharted, Mario Galaxy, BioShock, Crackdown, The Witcher, Crysis, God of War 2, Metroid Prime 3…

That year was historic.

(But I realize this ruins the joke.)

Man. I like wraparound sunglasses. They keep the sun out of the corners of my eyes.

My brother-in-law once said to me, rightly, “We gotta find you some sunglasses that make you look less…Republican.”

Conservatives ruin everything.

Can't afford fancy mustard but can afford a blue checkbox

This is just a totally brain dead take. Maybe the SNAP recipient likes brown mustard and prioritizes it. And you don’t care that much so you don’t prioritize it. If it mattered to you, you would budget to get fancy mustard.

If you really do feel you can’t afford fancy mustard, you shouldn’t be mad at the person who earns food assistance and then uses it to buy fancy mustard, you should be mad that you aren’t making enough to afford fancy mustard.
