I still can't see any tweets without logging in.

The speed at which the devs are pushing out wefwef releases!
This app is amazing, I wish I would have used it right away. I will stick with this from now on.

Third party Reddit apps just got canned.
Hey all, glad to be here. RIP Bacon Reader :(

As much as I hate Meta, nothing is worse than Twitter under Musk. I'm hoping it does kill twitter... Doesn't take much to end twitter right now tbh.

Apparently deleting one's thread account will also delete ones Instagram account.
People are overreacting. It is linked to your Instagram account, so it makes sense. You can still deactivate your Threads account if you don't want to use it but want to keep Instagram.

Maybe I am too optimistic for my own good lol, but I honestly just think they developed this as fast as they could when they saw the writing on the wall about Twitter. Threads IS Instagram, it was easier and faster to develop this way instead of starting from scratch. That's why deleting one would delete the other.
Edit: I just wanted to clarify I am in no way defending Meta and I don't even have an Instagram account. It's just the way I see it but I admit I can be wrong about this. We'll see what happens in the coming months/years.

YSK: You should dry off beef before cooking. Doing so promotes the Maillard Reaction, which will make the meat taste and look better.

It's bad for the animals? Which ones, the ones we eat? Yes dying is quite bad for you. Meat is not bad for us, I guess it is bad for the planet but that is more of a overpopulation problem than meat problem.

This is worrying for me. I hope they stick with turn based combat and social links...

What is the weirdest area of the Fediverse you have found yourself in so far?

Seriously, I'm so sick of all the porn communities showing up in my feed. I block them and more keep popping up on my feed. It's like a game of whac a mole, I don't want to see your butt hole Lisa.

This is the best part. Reddit had nice moments like this, back in the day. Now get off my lawn!

Delete all your Reddit content
I had no idea how awful the official Reddit app is until I had to try it yesterday (Bacon Reader was my app for a long time). I think I'll just delete my posts too.

I barely use Reddit since Bacon Reader has been offline. The official Reddit app is garbage. I'm enjoying using Lemmy with the Connect app, but I wish the Bacon Reader team would create an app for Lemmy.

Unable to create an account on Sh.itjust.works
Same issue here so I just went and created an account on lemmy.world which is basically exploding due to a high volume of new users.
