Ask Lemmy: Traditional vs natural mouse scrolling; which do you use?
I never remember which one is natural and which one is reverse. When I use a mouse or a trackpad, I am moving the scroll bar. When I am using a touch screen, I am moving the content.

God just make WFH a standard already. Compaies get to save on rent. Employees save on commute. This is win-win. What is the hold up here? The biggest loser would be large real estate guys and honestly I cant care less about them.

Gamedev and linux
This makes me very happy for some reason. It is like a huge pat in the back for a community that often is under appreciated. The open source community is the last bastion that stands against the rapid capitalism that is spreading through the world. We need more such devs who appreciate this sort of feedback and more new members of the community to take up the torch and continue the good fight.

Is the increasing wealth gap in India, that's worse than during British rule a sign of a second colonisation attempt by Gujarati billionaires?
This is a leading question. While I appreciate the sentiment, the question makes multiple assumptions and provides no reference/evidence. The question just wants to polarize the readers.

If we took material like rock from space and got it back to Earth enough times, would Earth grow as a planet?
Not sure what "grow" means here exactly. But yes, the earth's mass will increase.

Brave browser quietly slips a VPN service onto your Windows PC
Why is installing a VPN considered bad? Is it because it is done without user consent? I don't understand if there is any malicious intent.
