How come the US does not put a bounty on Putin like they did Bin Laden?

Because A: putting a bounty on the leader of a nuclear power is drastically different from the leader of a.. terrorist rebel organization(I'm not entirely sure what to call al qaeda).

And because B: it would change basically nothing. Putin already can't travel in most places internationally because there's an ICC warrant out on him for war crimes. The bounty isn't going to be relevant in Russia or allied places, and it's not going to be much of a motivator to an entire government.

The problem of Susan

Technically, it's a short story by Neil Gaiman. Practically, it's definitely Narnia fanfiction except just legally distinct enough Neil Gaiman didn't get sued for it.

It's basically shorthand for, "it's kinda fucked up that they left Susan Pevensie out of Narnia towards the end just because she liked lipstick and dudes now."

Content warning: Gaza genocide

Reply in thread

The content warning is the title being 'Content warning: gaza genocide', you don't need to also mark it nsfw when it isn't nsfw. At least when it isn't actually graphic in any way.

Besides, this isn't the comm for lighthearted content anyways. Way too much politics here.

As for why you're getting downvoted.. it's three people. They probably just think marking this nsfw is ridiculous, because the title is a content warning already. It also might be that people downvote anyone that says, "why am I getting downvotes!"

Could someone please explain/Tldr the Subnautica 2 controversy? I liked the first one, but I'm severely out of the loop.

Basically, the devs of Subnautica 1 were working on Subnautica 2 but got bought by another company- Krafton. Krafton promised a very large bonus to the lead devs assuming the game was released by a certain time. They were on track to meet that deadline, but Krafton was insisting the game be delayed and when the developers resisted that they got fired. Now the people that were fired are suing saying that Krafton fired them to avoid paying them the bonus rather than for cause.

I might have gotten some details wrong, I'm not following this incredibly closely myself.

Skull and Bones’ price has been slashed by $25 after less than three weeks

Reply in thread

It's been in development hell for like 11 years so people had low expectations, and it ended up being reasonably accurate.

It's just Black Flag, except notably worse and multiplayer. It was also on the expensive side @ $70, and someone at Ubisoft defended the price increase by calling it "the worlds first AAAA game." which was just stupid.

As someone that very much does not enjoy Sea Of Thieves I was kinda hoping it would scratch my pirate game itch, but nah I'll just replay Black Flag lol.

Two major kinds of DnD puzzles:

The sort of thing in the image. Dummy simple, party still somehow gets it entirely wrong because the DM offhandedly mentioned a goose 30 minutes ago which was definitely a hint.

An insanely complex puzzle that the players are realistically not going to be able to solve, so the DM is just going to let them try shit for a half hour until he finally says, "yeah that works."

And then there's a mythical third kind where it's actually a good puzzle. idk I don't think they're real.

SJW hosts two communities that probably generate 99% of the issues/hate our instance gets: NonCredibleDefense, which is basically just edge-y military shitposting, and this community which is entirely based around making fun of tankies.

In NCD some of the takes can be really hot, but I'm usually pretty sure it's a joke. Sometimes it can go too far, though.

This com is fine idk. Unless you're a tankie and you come here to read about yourself getting mocked, I guess.

Crazy that they removed the screaming from subsequent editions of the Necronomicon. Nowadays it's gone through so many revisions new copies don't even bleed. Sometimes the modern special editions will whimper a bit, but that's all you get.
