There are community filled only with that, no upvotes, no comment, no nothing.

When you finally block the bot those communities disappear as the bot is the only active user.

I do like a lot Portal 2 but wifey cannot play for too long with me as she becomes impatient. When that’s the case and she just want to watch a story like you would watch a movie, I play A Plague Tales (both of them) and she ends up wanting to know more and finally, crying.

I work in ATC (air traffic control) and everything runs on Linux, from radars correlation to flight data processing.

And it’s not just us, most Air navigation service provider in the world works the same way.

So that’s why 90% of lemmings are on Arch Linux (recently called Nerd OS in the Linux community on lemmy)

I think the problem is about slot management and the way they work.

In ATC, at least in Europe but FAA is probably more or less the same, your flight can get delayed for whatever reason (meteo, atc capacity, airport etc…).

In case of a delay you get a SAM, slot allocation message with a new EOBT (estimated off block time). You can shorten this waiting time by various means, you will get an SRM (slot revision) and in order to be certain that you won’t miss this slot (or get a new worst one) you have to send a ready message.

Ready means door closed, ready for pushback. And that’s the problem here, that’s how you get stuck in an airplane on the ground, cause you’re « ready ».

That sucks, but a crew will generally not board a plane if they have a huge non negociable slot. But if they think the slot could improve so they can stick to their schedule, you’ll probably end up waiting in a shitty overcrowded cabin.

And sometimes it’s the airport doing shit like pre boarding a plane so they can pack passengers for another flight at the gate.

Prendre le fuel pour l’aller-retour quand c’est possible (départ d’un aéroport en zone non taxée, vol pas trop long sinon ça dépasse le poids maximum).

Par exemple pour un Londres-Paris, au lieu de prendre 5 tonnes de kero et refuel à Paris, t’en prends 10 ou 11 comme ça t’as assez pour le vol de retour à Londres.

Mais comme t’es plus lourd, tu consommes plus et donc tu pollue plus…

Après pas sûr que ce soit vraiment appliqué, à cause du maximum take-off weight donc ça ne fonctionne que sur des vols courts. Et pas sûr également que les compagnies décident d’user les moteurs plus rapidement pour éviter de payer une taxe fuel (plus de poids = un régime N2 plus élevé pour les mêmes perf = maintenances plus rapprochés). Vu que le trend c’est d’économiser 0.5% en coupant la clim au décollage, je pense que ça va continuer comme ça.

Par contre je suis sûr qu’elles auront des experts qui vont calculer tout ça pour prendre la décision la plus économique (et pas forcément la plus écologique).

Yes Memmy is nice. I liked wefwef obviously for its UI but it lack one big thing, being able to save a post.

But on Memmy I can save stuff so it’s my new Apollo.

I took a last screenshot of Apollo and its final announcement but I haven’t deleted the app.

I did replaced the Home Screen icon with WefWef and it feels very great now , almost like home.

I’m getting divorced as we speak, nothing is officially signed yet but it will come.

After 13 years of this relationship, I want to be alone at home and won’t be looking for any romance any time soon. Just plain old « enjoyment » and we’ll see what happens in the future.

You can live in extreme temperatures, provided the infrastructures are built for that (ie. Ouarzazate in Morocco).

Wrong, a passenger explained what happened.

The car was lend for a short while so the kiddos could act like cool successful suckers, blame our world for that.

One of the cops hit the driver on the head 2 times (while talking shit, aiming a gun at his head and menacing to kill him), on the second time the driver was a bit knocked out and removed his foot from the brakes. The automatic Mercedes in drive shift started to slowly roll forward and 2nd cop shot him in the chest.

OFC with a bullet making it’s way too kill you you have even less control over the car, so it continued to roll as it is supposed to, but without control as a cop shot the driver thus creating a potential safety issue on public roads.

So no, prior to police intervention they were not a danger to public, they were just 17 teens flexing in a nice car someone lent them for that exact reason.
