Did you known with the LG engineering remote you can disable the wifi completely?
And the remote can be had on amazon for about $20.

I have two of them...but I only use them for streaming from my plex server so they're completely isolated from the internet. As far as I'm concerned I'm happy if it never connects to the internet.
But no, next TV will most definitely not be an LG... Though I'm not sure what the options are, all TV's are smart TV's these days... Fuck it, maybe I'll just find a 65" dumb monitor and put it on the wall.

Why is Google still serving dodgy ads?
Because Google's corporate philosophy is "Anything for a buck" which is of course quite different from the "Dont Be Evil" they started with...

LG Denies Its TVs Are Spying on You (Unless You Opted In)
When I saw this I checked my TV ubiquiti for traffic and sure enough there it was...but blocked by ubiquiti by default... I guess that's a qualified win.
And I have specifically NOT opted in.

I'm pretty sure opting out by itself isn't going to be enough. Mine was still attempting to connect out...

I hope he does...mostly because I don't think he can win as a republican.

A slightly unusual format because I just can't tell this joke anywhere else.
This is a perfect fit.

The Guide To Anti-Trans Democrats In The 2026 Elections, By State
Stupid advice. Post primary season, vote for the democrat, no matter who, because as hideous as some of them are, they're better than the republican alternative, and we're voting to take back the majority.
Think of the big picture.

TSA brings back gate access for some people without plane tickets 25 years after 9/11
I don't see how they do that without having to check ID's at the gates in addition to at TSA... once you have non-travelers allowed back to the gates it's easy to switch places and you don't know who is going where...

You think the MAGA candidate is better?
Pick the least bad...that's the only way we get better. Vindman is my rep and he's absolutely useless, but he's better than ANY of the republican alternatives in much the same way "Zero" is a bigger number than a negative.
And I'm voting for taking the majority, which right now is all that counts - the longer MAGA holds the majority, the harder it will be to ever recover.

Came here to say this. Cloudflare tunnels ar3 amazing
Once youbuave cloudflared installed on a host, it created an inbound tunnel to whatever IP you configure. This server, and a bunch of other servers i have running, are running across a single clodludflare tunnel. It allows me to keep everything separate and automatically fixes when my public ip changes.
It also masks your public IP from prying eyes.

The only good thing about him staying a democrat is it counting toward the majority. His vote isn't going to be in our favor... But right now his seat counts toward the majority.
