Baldur's Gate 3 is PC Gamer's highest scoring game in 16 years. Here's why

It's so refreshing to see an RPG that isn't afraid to be an RPG. It's not trying to twist and contort D&D into Call of Duty, it knows what it is and is proud of that. Games don't have to be dead simple and text free to be successful. Games don't have to have big in game stores or battle passes to be successful. They just have to be complete, an earnest attempt at a creative vision. I would take a game that tries something ambitious and very occasionally stumbles like this one over the most competent trend chaser any day.

Anon is a samurai

Samurai fucking loved guns practically as soon as they were introduced in the 16th century to Japan, and before that they would have been more proud of archery and horsemanship than swordsmanship anyway.

Hey tech billionaires, if you want to talk about radical change, let’s abolish venture capitalism

Industrialization lifts people out of poverty, capitalism sinks them into poverty by stealing the value of their labor as profit.

Also what's with the phrase "lifted out of poverty?" The fuck does that mean? Why is this same phrase repeated anytime some criticizes capitalism? It's like a stock phrase or talking point that makes you sound like a robot.

Most (99%) oven roast the turkey but the fattest of rednecks deep fry it to show reverence to their fat ancestors.
