Is it immoral, unethical, or illegal to use movie prop money for collection plates, tip jars, beggars, and strip clubs?
Just seems useless IMO
Tip, or don't, don't fake tip.

Seems strange to have Italy and Spain here, the English proficiency is usually at the same levels than France.

As a Belgian, I noticed that people usually get warmer when they learn I'm not French.
Hopefully the cliche will change over time.

There is conspiracy theory and conspiracy theory.
The one about the earth being flat is hard to defend, IMO.

Total Fertility rate, 2022, based on Eurostat

A bit old, but still
Several evaluations suggest that policies that provide financial support to families or paid leave at the time of childbirth have a positive, but rather limited, impact in fertility. Of all the policies introduced over the years, provision of childcare services appears to be the most effective in encouraging families to have children and women to remain in the workforce.
French family policies provide a diversified system of supplementary resources in the form of money, time and services needed to raise children. The State provides support to diversified types of families with children at ages from early to late childhood. Another key ingredient has been the high stability of family policies, based on strong popular support. This stability gives confidence to families that they will benefit from continuous support from the birth of a child until entry into the school system and beyond. Such confidence creates a favourable environment for the decision to have children

If it feels like a chore, you’re not doing the right activity for you. It should be enjoyable.

Say what you will about Michelle Rodriguez, but she definitely applies the Unix philosophy to acting.

[Ask Europe] People speaking languages with a small population on Lemmy, how do you deal with the dilemma of posting in English or in your other language?
Reply in thread
Because it just feels different to speak the language you speak at home? I'm working in English all day, I don't mind using the language, but I also like to speak French, each of them feels different.
