Seems the last week PvE servers have dissipated...

So for the first 100 or so hours I've played of this game I was mostly in PvE servers with the occasional PvP experience. This last week I've been constantly PvP'd while trying to complete quests. If the PvE servers are being disbanded, I guess I've gotten my value for the money I've spent but I'm likely done with this game at this point. I don't have the time to fight sweaty PvP players every round, I don't enjoy it. I prefer the Terminator story to the Mad Max one. I'm happy to potter through my quests and fight arc, but I can't do that anymore. I don't have the skill for PvP, nor the personal inclination for it.

I've also been killed by a bunch of people grouping in Solo where a few players make a coordinated effort to kill me, they're all wearing the same uniform.

[Help Request] Headset Mic Issues on Arc Raiders - Sony WH-1000XM4 - Mono sound w/mic

SOLUTION EDIT:

So my solution has been to order a refurbished Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen2 with the dongle. It was $100 cheaper than the gen3 and I'm not that flush with cash that $100AUD doesn't make a difference to me.

I can use the LDAC codec with the XM4s but it switches the mic off. I can't get stereo and mic working at the same time likely due to the limitations of the bluetooth protocol.

I was also considering a blue yeti mic on a boom but it was looking to be the same price as the Turtle Beach refurbs.

Thanks everyone for all your input. Much appreciated.

ORIGINAL POST:

Hi everyone.

So I'm trying to use my Sony wireless cans over bluetooth for Arc Raiders and the mic isn't very good at all. It's better in discord but my friends tell me it's still not great.

I'm aware of bluetooth duplex quality issues. It used to work fine on Windows 10 but is struggling on Bazzite. I'd love to just tinker with some settings or drivers and have it work so I don't have to buy anything else.

I'm prepared to buy a wireless headset with 2.4ghz dongle but don't know what's good.

I'm also prepared to buy a microphone and just use the headset as headphones only.

I've done about five years help desk support so would strongly prefer not to be physically tethered to my computer.

Thanks for any advice.

[Request] Company for a battery quote. SE Melbourne

I went through SolarQuotes.com.au to get an idea of battery installation prices. I've already got 6.6kw of solar.

Everything seemed to come out at around $800-$1000/1kw of storage which seems huge. I feel solarquotes attracts high priced quotes the same way hi-pages does.

At the prices I'm seeing I'm more likely to buy a tired Nissan Leaf ($20k) to act as the battery given they come with a 40kw(at new) battery and use the Japanese ChadMEO 2-way-charging.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Melbourne Fringe Festival.

"The 2025 Melbourne Fringe Festival is a celebration of Action Heroes. We're not talking about the kind of hero who wears a cape, and undies on the outside (though hey, you do you). We mean the kind of hero who understands that change comes from individual action – connecting, building, showing up. This isn’t a festival that tells you what to think. It’s one that invites you to feel, imagine, and most importantly, take action. So grab your metaphorical cape (or literal one – again, you do you!) and join us for the 2025 Melbourne Fringe Festival. See something. Do something. Change something. Fringe is ready when you are. "
