Advice needed: How to combat mold indoors?
Hi!
I've been running a kratky-experiment with some basil in a 3l yogurt bucket and stonewool/clay substrate.
However, my household is quite succeptible to mold growth, so the substrate and the stone wool sadly received some white swaths.
How do I prevent/fight this? Removing the plant from the stone wool is probably impossible. I already got some H2O2, but I'd need to be careful not to hit the stem. Do you have any mitigation strategies/ideas?

Second panel: Reaction shot of a mob with an assortment pitchforks and other weapons looks really angry. Each figure is marked with the German flag emoji.
Third panel: Person standing on the rock: "For european jews"
Fourth panel: The mob looks really happy.
Let's agree to both

Top Gear's "This is brilliant" meme template.
Two cars are visible. The car on the right has the text "It benefits the queen of FARTs". It's commented with the subtitle "This is brilliant.".
The car on the left has the text "Harry Potter is painfully mediocre writing". It's commented with the subtitle "But I like this."
[Request] Resources you recommend for absolute beginners?
Hi there!
I was thinking of trying out a kratky pot of something that's supposedly quite easy, like basil (or strawberries? But that's probably more involved).
However, the info on the web is quite patchwork-like with even videos for "absolute beginners" skipping over how to mix your nutrients. And the slop makes it even harder to filter for the info that's actually useful for absolute beginners.
So I wanted to ask you folk which sources you'd recommend for absolute beginners. Youtube channels, blogs and preferably: books for when google gets drowned in all the slop so you don't find anything anymore (but I guess that there's probably not too many books which want to jump the bandwagon of a trend).
Maybe it would be cool to have resources like that also listed in the sidebar.
I'm looking for the full lifecycle:
- planting
- transfering to the hydro-setup
- managing
- harvest
I know a bit about each process, but still not confident enough to actually start.
Thanks in advance! (:

Flushing the Toilet of the “Left” - What is Politics
Edit: The title is a bit too antagonising for my tastes. But he has valid (and ruthless) criticism about how the political left operated in the last few decades. And it's from someone who has very strong leftist values and solid analysis.
If you downvote without watching, you're probably part of the problem.
Technical Breakdown: How AI Agents Ignore 40 Years of Security Progress
Not sure if this has already been posted and I know that the channel is a bit opinionated. But he's addressing an important topic.
What's the deal with these slop-y Linux tutorial "blogs"?
In the recent days I've been stumbling upon weird, new so-called "AI" Mathy-math-slop sites, like linuxv*x.com1. Some other was called something like "tutorialsipedia", or whatever.
Have you noticed these? Is that some weird new Startup that wants to leverage CEO and "AI"? I'd use them, but my eyes glaze off the page. It's like a drop on a Lotus leaf and I can't really read that garbage. What's up with those?

Banned for stating ehat there are protests in Iran and they need international solidarity... also crimethinc is supposedly "imperialist"
@[email protected] banned me from [email protected] (permanently!) and removed my comment from the post, because I dared to note that there are protests in Iran and shared a link to a crimethinc article with voices from within Iran. They call it "imperialist propaganda" if leftist voices from within Iran are distributed.
My comment:
I get it that the western media narrative is incredibly one-sided, focused on ideological bogeymen and focused on getting the monarch back in power. But I'd like to point out that there is in fact quite massive repression going on against the protestors. Leftist orgs in Iran need international solidarity now.
Their "reasoning":
reason: Ignoring the post to spam imperialist propaganda
I don't think that person can be reasoned with if they call crimethinc imperialist propaganda, so I'm not getting my hopes up for them lifting the ban.
I also think that they might be a bit butthurt, because I called out their zionistic worldview (i.e.: that judaism equates zionism) a few days ago.

A bit of a peek into a different perspective than usual.
