The world is fucked. Humanity will survive, but not without any hardship. We've already gone past the best age for humanity (or the western world, at least), which was the year 2000.

Inflation has created a dark cloud over how everyday Americans view the economy
It's not inflation. It's greedflation. I live in Denmark, where greedflation is increasing, but nothing like in Norway! Also, Norwegian companies were complaining about electricity prices last year and got a shit-tonne of money to not go bankrupt. Turns out, many of the companies had record profits - we're talking more than doubling their previous record (in the billions...).

Reply in thread
So true. And then you have Schibsted, Norways biggest media conglomerate; the only way to reject cookies is that you have to log in in order to reject it! According to the cookie law (no idea what it's called), it's illegal. It's been reported to the EU and Norwegian government numerous times, but nothing happens. Fuck Schibsted!!

Read the entire thing:
Of the straws tested in the study, those made of paper were the most likely to contain PFAS: The chemicals were detected in 18 out of 20 brands. Four out of five bamboo straws sampled contained PFAS, compared to three out of four plastic straws and two out of five glass straws. All five stainless steel straws analyzed were PFAS-free.
