The Other Side of Android: My Favorite F-Droid Apps

Isn’t Peertube on F-droid? People should get it so they can watch your video

Sorry for the miscommunication! I'm Gardiner's friend, dash. Together he and I run the site linked here, but Gardiner's videos are all 100% his side! If you asked me to film and or edit a video to save my life, I'd have to start digging my own grave because all of that is pure sorcery to me!

You can view my articles on the site specifically with this link here:

The Other Side of Android: My Favorite F-Droid Apps

This is a small follow-up to my recent F-Droid-focused article, this time highlighting some of the apps I enjoy most from the platform.

From the unusual and fun (birding, anyone?) to the useful, these are the apps that keep me coming back. F-Droid is a powerhouse of options for Android users, offering a huge range of open-source software that is often far more respectful of your privacy and data than mainstream alternatives.

Do you think that Edward Snowden is a hero?

Reply in thread

...its been their game the whole time

The U.S. took his passport away as he was in transit, right when that happened (literally blame your own gov't for this, it wasn't his decision) he was getting a connecting flight in Russia. He's since stayed there.

Crazy that you...think that Russia, what, had control of the American gov't and got them to revoke his passport mid-flight? Is that what you're getting at?

Some of Android's Most Interesting Games Aren't on the Play Store

Oh no, you're totally fine. And you're not the only one of 'that guy' who let me know! I hope you'll forgive me pasting a comment from above explaining my unexplainable stupidity on this one:

because yes…I was a complete idiot and didn’t realize these were in fact on Play Store. That is unforgivable because research for articles is like my thing, but I just never use Play Store, outside of being for emulation on retro handhelds I review.

Sorry for the confusion! I did add the callout at the bottom of my intro to explain my idiocy
