Woman Sues Anti-Abortion 'Pregnancy Center' After Her Ectopic Pregnancy Ruptured
The more these sham centers try to pretend that they're medical establishments, the more they're going to do this to people, and yet US lawmakers are giving them even more funding. They can't both say they're not medical providers and do things like ultrasounds.

firefox rule
I used to use Firefox but half the websites I visted were broken on it. Companies don't make their websites compatible with it anymore which really sucks. If Chrome kills adblocker, I'll switch back, but it's just annoying when you get to the middle of a transaction and the site stops working because the devs were too lazy to test on anything but Chrome.

reddit founders made hundreds of fake profiles so site looked popular
That's also how they established the norms of the site. The founders wanted a particular kind of community so they made fake accounts post and vote in ways that reflected that desire. Posts with grammatically sound English were upvoted, text speak was downvoted.

Half are probably involved in the ads side of things.

What subreddits would you like to see replicated on the Fediverse?
My niche hobby and snark communities, like AmericanGirl, FundieSnarkUncensored, DuggarsSnark, and HobbyDrama. I hope to see them resurrected elsewhere with just as good of moderation and communities as they had on Reddit. I know a lot of websites say they don't want drama but a well-moderated drama community is a public service that keeps fights contained.

Sooo...how do I stop from seeing the same 20 posts over again?
Good way to see new posts is to change your sort on your homepage. You're probably set to the default of Local Active. Try instead setting to Local New Posts or All Active. That will help surface communities with recent activity.

Strongly agree. This could also be good if you join an instance and it winds up being toxic or not vibing with your beliefs.

Have you ever rekindled a friendship after losing touch? How'd it go?
I've had a few experience with this and each was drastically different.
On one end, I reconnected with a friend I hadn't seen since high school and invited her out for dinner. We met and just picked up right where we left off. Every time I see her now, it's the same. I invite her to all my parties by default because she's a great person to hang out with. We're very much similar people and really enjoy each other's company.
On the other, I reconnected with an online friend I hadn't spoken to in a few years. It was nice to chat with him again but the more we talked, the more it was clear to me why we stopped talking in the first place. He was sort of controlling and jumped to a lot of weird conclusions and never communicated what he wanted clearly. We stopped talking regularly and while we'll say hi if we're online at the same time, we don't seek each other out for long chats.
