... would YOU download a plant?

My grandfather, he had a big garden with lots of plants, had been banned from most of the garden stores within a 20 mile radius of his home because he was known to pick leaves of the plants and make saplings out of them.

When he was 76, we had to pick him up from a local police station, since he insulted the officers whilst picking saplings and being caught for driving without a seatbelt.

I miss him.

European leaders gather for emergency talks, fearing that Trump has abandoned age-old allies

This would be the opportunity for Europe to establish itself as a global superpower. Just how we spend and build infrastructure during covid/energy crysis, pump a lot of funds into the defense industrial complex and send a lot of stuff to Ukraine, whilst at the same moment build a unified European army.

Trump's meetings would become meaningless, security would be dictated by the new unified Europe.

Don't forget germany became the second strongest army in terms of spending in 2023/2024 when germany decided to spend an additional 100 Billion Euros next to its normal military budget on its army, dwarfing China's and Russia's military budget, only to be second to the US.

This, combined with unbroken support of Ukraine would inadvertedly make Europe a force to be reconed with and be a fast lane ticket into the footsteps of what the US once was.

But sadly that will not happen because woke people bad and maybe trump would still help us.

Is anyone planning on doing anything about trump creating a concentration camp at guantanamo bay?

German here, I stand with the same statement the from the guy above me that referred to the guy more above.

Anyways - In the first tariff "war" trump unleashed in after 2016 we tried to tariff stuff from the US, but since we don't import a lot of things from the US, we only had tariffs on Whisky and Jeans (I'm not even joking, this happened).

The german government thinks the same though. The secret service "BND" has released multiple statements that it is "highly plausible" that the virus came from the Laboratory and says that they have let me translate "Secret documents and files from inside the laboratory procured by secret service means under codename Saaremaa"

Here is a link to one of the most reputated german news agencies:

You can literally go and setup your own lemmy instance in less than 10 minutes. Its so well documented that even the least tech savy person should be able to do that with a bit of research.

When you've done that just wait for the data to flow in. And thats it.

I have no experience with the docker container, but optimization for the database and nginx/apache cacheing must be made individually depending on number of cpu cores, ram-size, etc etc etc. When overtuning for example your database it can happen that you run out of RAM, which means your system will crash or freeze. Happened to me. I run it "Baremetal" and configured it "the classic way". Tbh, after those optimizations it runs really, really fast and response times are really quick.

Yes. When you like or dislike something it gets synchronized with different federated servers. Which means, federated servers have a database of all your likes and dislikes, and even your posts. The server admins of that server have, by nature, the password for the database and can therefore track every move you make. Just one "Bad guy" that has a server that is federated with your accounts server and they will know a lot about you. And since its open source theoretically everyone can do this. Criminals, Stalkers, Governments, Companies, everyone.

As a german citizen: Good luck, and welcome to germany! Hope you have a great time here. There are many very very beautiful small towns which don't costs much, but are usually still in the vicinity of larger cities. So you usually, if you plan correctly, you get the pro's of both. Beautiful small historic city and if wanted the buzz of a big city withing an hour's drive. Cheers!

There are more twerks to it than "just' using mariadb and redis. Maybe look into Apache/nginx cacheing, tune your mariadb settings and stuff like that. Had performance-problems with my owncloud-instance, now it runs like a champ
