Features a 1511 remodel including new staircases, fitted with a water source inside the cave and a secret passage way to allow for food ingress during a siege, and stunning views of the Slovenian countryside.
It has been a while since I last made a post questioning things, life has been really busy. But I currently got a little bit of downtime so why not make a new thread again :)
So the question is how often do you do updates? Every day? Once a week? Once a month? When XY thing happens? Never? Or is it just completely random?
As you have probably noticed we took a pretty hands off approach to moderating this instance. If something is straight up malicious we will remove it, if not we will let the moderators of the respective communities to deal with it. We believe everyone should have the right to their own opinions, even if we don't necessarily agree with them and based on that we have not defederated from any other instance, till now.
Yesterday I came across what I would very much consider borderline, if not just straight up CP communities that someone on this server subscribed to. There was not just one single community, there were several on a singular instance. I told Sören about it and the instance has now been defederated and the communities purged. Hopefully there shouldn't be any leftovers of it.
I don't imagine anyone having an issue with us doing that, but we just wanted to let you know for fully transparency. We like for people to have access to everything, but some things are just too much (and rightfully illegal).
Devastating floods triggered by torrential rains have caused the death of at least three people in Slovenia, with estimated damage of 500 million euros ($550m).
Prime Minister Robert Golob said on Saturday that floods on Thursday and Friday were “the biggest natural disaster” in the small Alpine nation’s history.
Golob said road and energy infrastructure were hit particularly hard, as well as hundreds of homes and other buildings. Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes and many had to be rescued by helicopters or firefighters in boats.
Slovenia’s army has joined the relief effort, with troops reaching cut-off areas in the north to help.
Two-thirds of the territory in the country, home to two million people, were affected, the prime minister said.
Among those who died were two Dutch climbers on Friday in the mountains near Kranj, presumably as a result of being struck by lightning, Slovenia’s STA news agency reported citing police.
Also on Friday, a woman died due to flooding in the town of Kamnik, 20km (12.5 miles) north of the capital, Ljubljana, according to the report.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen assured Slovenia of the union’s help. The damage in Slovenia was “heartbreaking”, she tweeted.
In Dravograd, near the border with Austria, 110 people, including 30 tourists, had to be brought to safety after a landslide Saturday.
The town, which lies at the confluence of three rivers – Drava, Meze and Mislinje – was at risk of another landslide.
I put Arch on my laptop 3 weeks ago and it seemed to run fine so now after getting a new SSD for my desktop it was its time install Arch there too. Its completely unsetup so far, but obviously the first thing I had to do was to run neofetch.
It has been a little bit since my last post. I generally post when I am bored at work and the past 2 weeks were busy.
Today for a change I am curious about your hardware. Do have a laptop, desktop, both? One, 2, more? Why so many if you got more than 1? What hardware is it in it? Anything you would like to upgrade/change for your use case? Ever ran into any support issues with them? Any Steamdecks or funky hardware around?
I am not sure this is quite what you are looking for but this is what I instantly thought about when I saw this community and I think fits on 2 things:
chaotic (its uptempo)
samples from wherever (frozen)
and possibly:
you would die if someone you know found out that you listen to it, because I unironically enjoy it.
Last week I was asking about when and why you started using Linux, thank you everyone who took their time to write an answer! It was interesting to read all of your guys stories and I was surprised just how far back some of them go.
Now I am curious about your guys DE/WMs. What do you use? What do you like/don't like about it? What have you tried? What is you go to? Any you absolutely can not stand the sight of? Any that you tried that disappointed you?
Once again no judgment, just curious about peoples experiences.
The track came up in one of the sets (I think an old D-Sturb one) I was listening on my way to work the other day and it has been stuck in my head ever since, help.
I made this thread in case someone is looking for any specific replacement for specific reddit subs (or something else) and hopefully someone might be able to chime in with some good suggestions.
