Why wouldn't it work?

A long long LOOOONG time ago I tried to screenshot a video in windows media player and the screenshot still changed when I moved or played the video. I often wonder if that was a fever dream or just some weird shit that was happening with really early tech. I remember being so mad because I just wanted a screenshot of a scene in the video and it wouldn't work lol

I dunno... A lot of the newer gens didn't have to tinker with everything to get it to work so they're less familiar with the ins and outs of stuff. Not to say they all are because it's silly to generalize that many people but many of them grew up with this stuff. Just like how I couldn't tell you how a TV works or fix one but I've built all my own pcs. That happened naturally because I had to learn it early on to have a computer. That being said they definitely seem to be developing a unique skill set for navigating the internet and social media as a whole. I've noticed they're a lot less likely to trust a generic Google search or various articles online. I guess when you're raised around bullshit you're gonna end up more critical of it. This is mostly about gen z of course and maybe younger millennials. Gen alpha is feral and weird we should all be worried lmao

Women Continue To Represent More Of The Gaming Audience, Especially On Switch

Reply in thread

We don't only exist in cute little spaces like mobile gaming. We're all over the place. If you haven't met many of us online it's 100% because we didn't like your vibe and never spoke or divulged that we were female to you specifically. There can't even be an article about female gamers existing without you dweebs writing women off as probably just mobile game players ffs. Grow as a person. Please.

Poignant post on the state of things

This is a bit unfair. There are lots of circumstances that result in children that weren't planned. Lots of millennials grew up being told to just pop out the babies and the rest will happen. No the fuck it doesn't. Not anymore anyway. Maybe that was true at some point but now what happens is they have to work harder than ever while daycare raises their kids. Meanwhile, they have to work a second job to just pay for daycare. When I was a kid I remember my mom getting a lot more gov assistance than seems to ever happen for people now. It was rough but we never had to worry a out keeping a roof over our heads or food on our table. Half those life changing programs are gone now. At least in my area.

Not the hero we deserve, but the one we need.

I don't expect perfection...? Being anti-vax is a big deal to me. That's not a harmless ideology. It's moronic and anti-science. This isn't just some little thing I disagree with it's, in my opinion, a huge moral and intellectual failure. I think it's completely fair that this gets brought up because it's directly relevant.
