Can confirm, I'm a lurker who cares and has migrated here.

Well, I was more of a lurker the last few years because reddit was slowly sliding into Facebook territory and it annoyed me but I couldn't stop scrolling anyway. Spez's actions were the push I needed to delete my almost 10 year old account the first day of the protest and every day since just reinforces how good of a decision that was.

Now to remember how to interact instead of just scroll...

Leaning towards yes. I've dipped my toes into all the viable alternatives and so far Lemmy seems the most like old Reddit, which pleases me.

Best: the sense of humor and inside jokes that grew over the years. I miss that, but I've seen some of it still lingering here and on squabbles, which is nice.

Worst: like others have said, the toxicity there was something else when it reared its head.

I'm genuinely surprised by how many people in here say they like Tennant and Smith. I started with Eccleston, loved Tennant, but lost interest as soon as Smith showed up.
