it's just pure racism at this point

Do you have any earthly idea how many of those "people" are bots now? Let yourself get worked-up by engagement-bait if you insist, but no-one-else is obligated to check-out places that are well-known for being places one goes to piss-off others or find something to get pissed-off about. Your "hobby" of engaging with and spreading it without substantiation vs reality doesn't make you "more aware", it just makes you part of the problem.

In what ways are Maga Usonia (USA) better or worse than Nazi Germany?

Reply in thread

Nah, its better to have hindsight in your corner, and realize what you need to do to save your soul, sanity, and be on the right side of history is to either leave, with as many innocents as you can, or start breaking things. Make them kill you if you can't stop them in their tracks.

If you're rational enough to be weighing it out like-so, maintaining objectivity and pragmatism past the point of the absurd, "picking Nazi" is still not an option. Even just holding "you idiots are worse than Nazis" in your repertoire is a waste of words and thought. The only worthwhile conversation left no longer requires words at all.

I've seen so many different versions of this in the last week. Blonde chick was the only one I've seen next to the original, like at least this one almost got the "credit where it's due" part right, but generally, I prefer the thicker, older-looking versions I've seen, even though the whole premise just makes me think "yep, it's hard to go wrong with skin and ink".

Gamers? I didn't even play this one. I never would have made the connection with the orignial without the side-by-side version, but I'm glad to get to see it again.

Back then, have you ever pirated movie rentals onto DVD / VCD or ripped them?

IME, rentals had shit quality, unless you were one of the first few people to rent that movie. Still watchable, mind you, but the software for ripping back then would hang on the mildest errors.

My guess was that most of the high quality torrents back then were ripped by people who bought or stole New-in-box discs, or employees at stores that rented or sold them, an don't forget Screeners.

Anon changes his strategy

Its always confounded me that, somewhere along the line, Simping:Spending time and money to let a stranger on the internet know you think she's pretty and you likely see romance as transactional, got conflated with "Simping": having the guts and sincerity to compliment a woman in-person, without reservation or expectation of reward.

Like, what? How did that become a thing?

Wait. Are you under the impression that that flimsy 1.5in tube-steel, the steps leading up to it, and the sheet-metal platform connected to that are somehow load-bearing for the Ferris Wheel itself?

This setup all rides on/is a trailer with outriggers like you'll find on construction equipment.

Sure, that's all hidden by the platform that's literally there for no other reason than to support the riders as they enter and leave the ride, but if your county inspectors don't know to check the outriggers first, you've got problems, so many problems, none of which have anything to do with these particular carnies.

Edit: One of the outriggers, one of several, promise, to the right of the stair. You'll notice there is no BS between it and the ground, as it itself is height-adjustable.

Broken from childhood

Bad fit for this community. He's right. The entrepeneur world is full of the wrong sorts of people to be starting businesses, unless your only criteria for "success" is getting bought-out early for a ridiculous amount, letting all the employees go, and telling existing customers to go fuck themselves.

Those with a legitimate problem to solve tend to have the will and motivation to see that it, or more likely whatever small portion they've figured out, stays solved, at least for a good while.

Gotta catch ’em all: Man under Customs probe for not declaring over $30k of Pokemon cards at airport

Not that he's not reselling them, but paying a 9% tax for every single item you posses beyond $500 in value every time you cross the border is just absurd. Remind me to never take my laptop, phone, or a decent camera anywhere near Singapore.

All that aside, I thought the idea of customs and import duties was versus new items, not things that can be picked-up at a second-hand store or pawn shop. If he provided itemized receipts, would they even believe him if the prices weren't high-enough? ... or were "too old"?
