I've had cancer for 7 years. Done 2 rounds of chemo, 1 round of radiation, surgery twice (colostomy and then tumour removal) and currently am finishing my 36th month of experimental immunotherapy, before another round of chemo/radiation starting first week of October.
When I needed emergency surgery for the colostomy, I was admitted immediately and had surgery in hours.
Last week they decided they needed to do more to tackle 1 problematic lymph node, hence the chemo/radiation scheduled for October. So I had 2 CT scans last week to track growth and plan for radiation. They wanted it sooner, but my last dose of immunotherapy is Oct 3, so chemo/radiation is put off until Oct 4.
So far I've had to pay for parking and some meds.
Cancer 0/10 stars. Canadian Healthcare for me 10/10 stars.
