Reddit slowly became filled with hate

About 10 years here. That’s why I had Apollo. I filtered out all that shit. Everything you could imagine. Hundreds of things hidden.

Eventually I had a home feed of crafts, patientgamers, every cat sub you can imagine, bread, and a bunch of other peaceful things.

Before that I was just so angry all the time and arguing with redditors. I won’t go back to all that.

What law or rule exists because of you? What happened?

I used the good old toaster in our closed department one morning just like always. But that morning my toast caught fire!

My coworker put it out but the smell of burning toast permeating the entire floor of the building. Where the public walks around.

Of course I hear “is something burning?” “Mommy I smell toast!” Etc.

We pretended it didn’t happen when security came around. “What? I smell it too! That’s so weird!”

Needless to say toasters were banned after that. We ended up getting a small toaster oven that’s better quality. Probably still not allowed but we like to live on the edge.

Good news!

People are getting caught up on Einstein but it’s not about that particular man. It’s about being someone that can change the world. That is exceptional. That is beyond talented.

When I was little I realized this when I was going to school. Living in a poor neighborhood I used to watch boys do insane flips and shit like it was nothing. Like Olympic level flipping.

And it occurred to me that no one but us would ever know how talented they were because nobody was checking for us.

That’s a really sobering thing to realize as a kid.

What's the deal with Linus tech tips?

If you are in enough mental distress self harm starts looking like a real good idea as an excuse to not go to work. Of course it’s not logical or reasonable. It’s a reaction to stress. It’s an irrational intrusive thought.

If I hadn’t experienced something similar I would feel a little skeptical. :(

debate

In my opinion, the alien in the right pulled a fast one. He set up a joke. When the left alien asked if he thought a debate would be fun, the right one said “in my opinion.”

It doubles as both an affirmative—“yes it would be fun”—and as an inconsequential opinion which is the start of an argument or debate.

That’s why the alien on the left points at the other. As if to say “ah I see what you did there!”

Edit: ah notice the little smile and the sneaky squinting eyes on the alien to the right in the final panel. So smug that he made a funny 😆
