Sound Off: How many 10+ year redditors have left the site?
Sadly I still have to visit reddit for various things. Mostly just for niche questions I have for Google that are best answered on Reddit. Which is a lot.

This is the only reason I still use reddit, hopefully some day there's a better alternative.

Is it just me or did Lemmy suddenly became more active now that Sync for Lemmy is released?
I'll check Sync out if I ever start having issues with Thunder. Don't know why it isn't as popular as other apps.

Scale as much as possible, and if you don't get the scalers that you need, snipe.

preferred tools to roughen up outside holds that are too polished?
Polished V15 lol
Just grow out your finger nails, and learn the ways of closed nail crimping. All the pro's do it.

Trying to start learning, how should I go about it?
I would wander through Google/YouTube for a bit, and figure out what you want to prioritize with your learning. Knowing what you want to work on is super important.
Personally I've just tried to learn songs that I like (with varied amounts of success), and then use whatever techniques I learned to mess around and make my own music. This keeps me motivated to practice because it doesn't involve boring drills.
Everyone has a different leaning style though, so try out different methods and see what sticks!

Best climbing movie ?
Rampage with Sharma really got me hooked on the lifestyle, and going to see reel rock at local venues anchored me in the community.

Alec handhold is my favorite climber.
But for real, pretty awesome movie. Just hate getting asked about it from non-climbers.

Performance/all around shoes for climbers with wide feet and heels.
I'm surprised you are using tenaya shoes if your feet are wide. I primarily boulder, but I also have wide feet, and heels that have been shaped by aggressive heel cups over the years. Butora Acro (high volume), La Sportiva Solutions, and Scarpa Instincts VS (high volume) have all fit my feet well after breaking in.
Edit: Felt I should add, not quite enough room in the heel on instinct for me, but not a deal breaker.
