GoFundMe races to remove fundraising pages supporting Luigi Mangione

After he is arraigned (first appearance before a judge) AND assuming bail is set in an amount he cannot pay AND that he is held in Rikers (HUGE safety concerns) you can look him up here and then send money for commissary and sometimes pay bail.

I believe you must provide personally identifying information to send money/pay. There is no guarantee that the City won’t try to find a way to seize money sent.

Murder is the unlawful killing of another human without justification or valid excuse committed with the necessary intention as defined by the law in a specific jurisdiction.

Justification is a defense in a criminal case, by which a defendant who committed the acts asserts that because what they did meets certain legal standards, they are not criminally culpable for the acts which would otherwise be criminal.

NYS Penal Law SECTION 35.15 Justification; use of physical force in defense of a person

Whether or not he is a murderer depends on whether the DA can meet their burden of proving he committed the acts necessary to satisfy the elements of NYS definition of whatever degree of murder the Grand Jury indicts (if that happens) AND he is not able to establish the affirmative defense of justification.

None of these determinations have been made yet.

I gotta ask, are you a time traveler or a boot licker?

Don't you mean the people with gun saving the country from fascism? Or do you really except the guns to do it on their own?

Currently there are a few people without guns trying to stand up to fascism without violence. Most if not all are getting arrested/killed. There is also a large portion of the population that refuses to commit to violence. You see it over and over "don't take the bait," "don't give them the excuse," or "they want you to get violent."

In order to cross over and have those against the current administration with guns put everything on the line, it either needs to get so bad that those individuals have no other choice OR jury nullification needs to occur in a high profile matter.

Put another way, has enough happened that YOU are personally willing to sacrifice your life to stand up against what is going on? If yes, do something. If no, continue building local community networks and support structures so if/when that occurs you have the capacity to effect change through violence.

Saying that guns (the tool currently used by the facists) somehow will not be effective to combat them makes little sense. It's not a gun issue. It's a will issue.

You are missing the service connected requirement. Not all diabetes or sleep apnea is covered.

A service-connected condition is an injury or disease that was caused by or worsened by a veteran's active military service.

In other words, the military ordered you to do a thing that, to a reasonable degree of medical certainty, caused/worsened an injury or disease. Thats different than voluntarily making personal choices that have the same effect.

Straight-up BS’: Democratic chair attacks Bernie Sanders’ election critique | Sanders’ analysis that Democrats lost because they failed working-class voters scorned by party chair Jaime Harrison

After what we all just witnessed it is beyond me how anyone thinks this isn’t just the system working as intended. Both the Rs and Ds worship capital. That’s the only “both sides” issue that matters to them

Let them eat cake… but remember, the cake is a lie

What’s wrong with publicly naming and shaming? The other side of the coin is that pushing policies that shortened the lives those they agreed to insure is “going a little hard” for capitalism.

Just because there are more steps between a board vote and a flatline than there is between a firing pin and a brainpan doesn’t make one act legitimate and the other criminal.

(ps you are obviously on our side, but we refuse to cede an inch of the societal gains made by the recent grassroots corp restructuring)

I didn’t think retirement would feel like disappearing slowly

You are not your job, you're not how much money you have in the bank. You are not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You are not your fucking khakis. You are all singing, all dancing crap of the world.

But seriously… it sounds like you were letting the outside world define you. Maybe use the silence to try to define yourself from the inside out?

What do you want to fill the silence?

Trump transition team compiling list of current and former U.S. military officers for possible courts-martial

This is 100% a political stunt that will go nowhere. If this gets to a trial the jury is active duty military of the same rank or higher than the accused. That’s means the men and women that took over when these people retired will be the jury. These individuals served their careers together.

Even with a court martial not needing a unanimous jury, they won’t be able to field enough Trump supporters to convict that high up the chain.
