We're federated with Hexbear again?

Reply in thread

It should be noted that Lemmy's blocking function is more for "things you don't want to see" and is next to useless for users that are actually harmful because it does not restrict access to the person it is used on, it only hides their content from you (great for people who you "disagree with" but insufficient for legitimately/objectively harmful users).

Instances like Hexbear post large amounts of spam and spread objectively harmful ideology and misinformation. They aren't merely "things you don't want to see". Their defederation should be done to maintain the health and safety of the instance due to the severity of some of their offenses.

Why are Swarmgenders so oppressed and stigmatized

This is a bad-faith troll post, I have banned you and the rest of your accounts from interacting with this community.

To address your concerns, I have never heard of Swarmgender whatsoever, I searched on Google and Duckduckgo and the only results were from you, so it is either a very unheard of identity or it is something you came up with yourself. It is perfectly valid to create your own identities to describe yourself but it is not acceptable to use them to attack, harass, and troll people. That is why you have been banned, not for your identity but for the fact that you are harassing and trolling people, as well as spreading harmful misinformation (trying to say Ada and this instance is transphobic or that we Dox people is harmful misinformation).

I am locking this post but it will remain up as a reminder to this incident. If other people identify as Swarmgender or DroneGender they are free to create new discussions around the topic as long as said discussions remain in good faith, otherwise they will be removed and their accounts banned.

How reliable is the "Shinigami Eyes" browser extension for you?

I don't really recommend using it, it has a lot of false positives. Also seems to be biased in a lot of their views. It also seems to miss a lot of stuff which is blatantly transphobic and I marked stuff while using it but it was never approved despite being blatantly not okay. So I really don't recommend it. If you do use it, take every rating with a grain of salt, or the whole salt shaker.

You could make the same argument about down syndrome, autism, being transgender, darker skin tone. Eugenics is not a good thing, it seems appealing at first but it's a slippery slope and gets ugly very fast. Also they have the technology to accommodate these kinds of disabilities, so why bother with all that when he could get ocular implants and live a relatively normal life.
