It’s really fucked up that so many people think it’s their place to be involved in other people’s personal medical decisions, especially when the medical guidelines are currently quite conservative, and based on medical consensus.

I think it’s that if a kid tells their teacher they’re gay or trans, the teacher has to tell their parents.

If a kid has parents that will mistreat them for being gay, they will now be afraid to tell the teacher because they know it won’t be confidential.

It’s about limiting the number of adults a kid feels they can trust.
