We aren't. But anyone that voices an opinion against Israel in my country is labeled an anti-Semite, so people stay quiet.
Also Putin is doing the same, global out rage, no one really stepped in due to politics

I never got the account karma thing. Do people really care? All i was fussed about was if a comment I made was interesting to others or not, but that's just fake stupid internet points+dopamine

Does it feel like the fediverse is exclusively used by older tech nerds?

Not just older/younger groups. There are plenty my age (mid 30) that don't care or have a clue about tech+privacy. The local nursery post totally public photos of the kids to the internet.. yeahhh no I opted out of that and I felt the weirdo. It's not even like I'm tinfoil or anything

What are your offsite backup solutions
Ah yes automated backups, on my to-do which I'll hopefully do before a failure (famous last words). People talking about backblaze b2. I just looked. Why not use the personal one? The one computer would just be the Nas if using it for cold storage/redundancy?

I was unfortunately forced back onto it for my latest laptop due to hardware issues. I tried to get mint and other distros to work, but I ended up just being a Linux failure and swallowed the Ubuntu pill... it keeps bugging me to this day, but too critical of a system to mess with now :(

Insert smug "I run YouTube with Firefox with adblock installed" comment here. I've not seen any of the anti block stuff yet

Jerboa currently unusable for other people?

Even if the difference in version is complicated, it's really bad design to crash an app. Why not catch the error and display something reasonable?
