Like a lot of our problems: They were obviously a problem when they were new and continued to be obviously a problem up until they'd propagandized generations that grew up with them being a reality. Yeah, that's frustrating. Think about it like this: Stress is bad for you. It degrades your ability to do things effectively and degrades your physical and mental health if it's too consistent. Therefore removing stress is a necessary and important activity. Do what you enjoy, at least sometimes.
