It doesn't help trans people. How does trans atletes in women's sports benefit trans people at large? It only causes hostility against the trans cause and against progressive politics.

All people are wired to 'hate' outsiders. Countries are forced to open up in order to keep economic growth going. The US needs to import people in order to keep the growth going on.
