Nearly 800 infant remains found in septic tank at nun-run Irish unwed mother and baby home

Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bon_Secours_Mother_and_Baby_Home .

The mothers were required to stay inside the home for one year, doing unpaid work for the nuns, as reimbursement for some of the services rendered. They were separated from their children, who remained separately in the home, raised by nuns, until they could be adopted – often without consent.

Some women who had had two confinements were sent directly to nearby Magdalene laundries after giving birth, as punishment for their perceived "recidivism". According to Professor Maria Luddy, "Such a stance, though not intended to be penal, allowed for the development of an attitude that accepted detention as a means of protecting society from these reoffending women.

Confinements. Punishment. Detention. Reoffending women.

Raw milk fans plan to drink up as experts warn of high levels of H5N1 virus

The California-based Raw Milk Institute called the warnings "clearly fearmongering." The institute's founder, Mark McAfee, told the Los Angeles Times this weekend that his customers are, in fact, specifically requesting raw milk from H5N1-infected cows. According to McAfee, his customers believe, without evidence, that directly drinking high levels of the avian influenza virus will give them immunity to the deadly pathogen.

By all means, drink up, morons, get the hell out of our gene pool, we've got enough troubles without your Dimwit DNA.

Team Trump Is Gaming Out How to Ship U.S. Citizens to El Salvador | Trump officials are talking internally about denaturalizing American citizens — and potentially sending some to El Salvador

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

News 9 radar damaged in apparent attack by anti-government militia group

Michael Lewis Arthur Meyer, the founder of Veterans On Patrol, told the station he posted a sign warning of other radars being targeted near weather radar. He said he believes the government is modifying the weather, according to the article.

"They can embed their technology and civilian infrastructure in every home and every household utilizing the phones and their network towers to not only control the weather, modify the weather, but they can (target) individuals," Meyer said in the article.

Control the weather. Target individuals. How can anyone get this stupid?

Yo are fireworks that fun?

Explosives were fascinating when I was, like, 10 years old. Now, as an adult, they're just stupid, but we have an ever-growing population of people who derive their sense of self-worth from producing maximally loud, obnoxious, pathetic spectacles (think street-racers, coal-rollers, rap-blasters to name a few), so there you have it. When you're a nobody and have no attributes that anyone would look up to, well, at least you can force people to pay attention to you and do it on the cheap (important because you're poor). Boom boom pop pop.

More than 1,000 ‘Hands Off’ anti-Trump protests hit cities across the US

Medium sized city in a very red part of a blue state: turnout was estimated to be 5000+ and huge amounts of support from honking drivers in the busy, adjacent multilane street, for 2 hours straight. Great energy/vibe, lots of outrage and creativity, and a very multi-generational turnout that shows that not just one age group hates MAGA, they ALL do.

Counter-demonstrators were next to none and getting shouted down. One Christofascist was dressed up like the Christ he's seen in picturebooks and was dragging around a replica of a full-sized cross and getting laughs and sneers for his efforts.

We're driving the Trump citizen-fascists underground, lets keep it up.
