Repression is a terrible thing. I'm proud of anyone who grew past

Yeah, I once declared in a room of like 100+ people of a queer advocacy org that there were only 2 genders.

This was before I realized I was trans.

Yes, I'm still kicking myself in the face (figuratively) for this. I hate who I used to be. And I don't think I'll ever forgive myself for the pain I caused that day.

Truth be told, I'm not sure I want to forgive myself. I'm not sure I deserve it.

The Diarrhea Lettuce Company Has Been Linked to Forced Labor

And if anyone is wondering how this is legal (yes, it is 100% legal), I hereby direct them to the US Constitution, 13th Amendment, Section 1,

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

In other words, slavery or involuntary servitude is fair game if you've been convicted of a crime.

Which is very fucked-up in my opinion. "Land of the Free", my ass...

DRM Format Modifiers For Old AMD GPUs Coming With Linux 7.3: Thanks Valve

If you're like me and are wondering what the hell a "DRM format modifier" is, well, from the article:

DRM format modifiers provide details on tiling, compression, and other attributes for image buffers. Depending upon the layout it can also help with better performance and other more versatile use-cases. DRM format modifiers support can allow Vulkan-powered Wayland compositors, compositors running on the Zink OpenGL-on-Vulkan layer, interoperability between different graphics APIs, and more.

Cheers. <3

In Indonesia, Women Pirate More Music and Movies Than Men

Serious, honest question: why are we bringing gender into this?

I've never considered the idea of one gender being any more likely to commit piracy than any other. Is there some kind of piracy subgroup of people in Indonesia or elsewhere who claim men are more likely to pirate music than other genders, particular women?

Again, this is a serious question, with no malicious subtext. I'm genuinely wondering where in the hell this question came from, because it seems to me like it came out of nowhere.
