Should Lemmy have Karma?

I had an 8 year old account on reddit (deleted today) and had accumulated a decent amount of karma. that being said I didn't even notice there wasn't any karma here. the voting system is nice to see which comments are popular but there's no need for it sitewide.

Parental cooking strike

seems like the best of both worlds honestly. preteens and teens need to be able to try out making their own choices and this was a healthy way to do it. options are available for them but the parent that does the cooking isn't stress out over who is/isn't eating

looks like they just messed up rows 1 and 5. easy enough to do if you're not thinking while you're putting up the stickers. also this is terrible advice for exercise and would lead to injury.

i would agree with this but only with a thorough psychological examination beforehand. of course in the case of painful, terminal illness then euthanasia is absolutely morally correct but from my own perspective i think it needs to be determined that this isn't an emotionally turbulent time but is instead the peak of a prolonged period of suffering.

my favourite piece of relationship advice i've ever read is that whatever issues crop up, it's you two (or however many there are of you) vs the problem, not you against each other. i think you need to make it known to your husband that his family's bigotry is very hurtful to you and how difficult it is to be around them. personally, i would make an effort to be amicable but not encouraging towards their behaviour. this all depends on exactly how bad it is though.

Cars lore

There's a cars pope which means there is at the very least belief in a cars Jesus and by extension all other Abrahamic religions are represented in the cars universe
